One of the most surprising things about the Oregon game, in retrospect, is how little Moorhead was mentioned as a potential factor. I must’ve read 30 articles in the lead up to the game and I’ll be damned if I can recall one that made a point of mentioning him.

I think if we’re being honest, a number of those PSU-OSU games in the Meyer era ended up with PSU outscheming the Buckeyes, and OSU’s athletes making one or two plays that made the difference. Now, if OSU had a competent defense this year I think this is all a moot point, but I’m a little surprised the narrative was “Cristobal vs Day” and not even a mention of “OC who gave OSU fits for years.”
