‘21 is going to be a really interesting year from a QB perspective. Fields/Lawrence leave along with other guys like Mac Jones, Zach Wilson, and Kyle Trask. Going into the season there seems to be a divide of good but not great experienced QBs and elite but unproven talents. So the question is if you could take any QB in the country to start for OSU who would you take? Here are some of the names. The talent for Stroud/Young/DJ is likely a bit higher than everybody else on the list but we haven’t seen it. From the rest there doesn’t seem to be any slam dunk top 10 picks.
- CJ Stroud
- Bryce Young Bama
- DJ Uiaoganeleale Clemson
- Sam Howell UNC
- Spencer Rattler OU
- Tanner Morgan Minnesota
- D’eriq King Miami
- Kedon Slovis USC
- Desmond Ridder UC
For OSU I think DJ is the best option. A pocket passer who can rocket the ball deep to this receiving core and on the rare occasions where the OL gives up pressure he would very uniquely be able to brush it off. Do you blitz and hope a LB can sack a 250 pound linebacker or let him and the receivers pick you apart?
