Ohio State's punter for the last four years will not be back for an additional year of eligibility.
Drue Chrisman, who was a fifth-year senior in 2020, confirmed Friday that he will be moving on from the Buckeyes and entering the 2021 NFL draft.

In four playing seasons with the Buckeyes, Chrisman punted 185 times for an average of 44 yards per punt, the fourth-highest average in school history. Chrisman is regarded as one of the top punters in the 2021 NFL draft class, and should get an opportunity to compete for a roster spot whether he is drafted or signed as an undrafted free agent.
With Chrisman's departure, incoming freshman Jesse Mirco could be the frontrunner to start at punter for the 2021 Buckeyes. Walk-on punter Zach Hoover, who filled in for Chrisman in the Big Ten Championship Game against Northwestern, is also a senior who participated in the team's virtual Senior Day, though fellow walk-on Michael O'Shaughnessy will be back next season.
