OSU was able to win yesterday despite not having a level playing field in terms of the COVID protocols. Clemson had already stopped testing and yet OSU was testing right up to game day. What will Alabama be doing or not doing?
In terms of how many days you have to sit out, yes, 17 days is better than 21 days, but still much more restrictive to what the other conferences are doing and what the CDC recommends. Big difference is if that can be lowered to 10 or even 14 days.
My concern is with the current 17 day restriction, we are not going to have Miller, Harrison, Friday, etc. for the championship game.
What could the BIG do if OSU announced that they were going to follow either the CDC recommendations or even what the SEC is doing and lower the 17 day requirement currently in place? Answer is nothing. OSU needs to do that. They need everyone that can possibly play against Alabama. (Privately, Gene can tell Warren to enjoy the extra $$ the BIG is getting thanks to OSU and shut up).
