Perhaps Ryan Day has already done that, but it would make sense to reach out to Joe Burrow to get his feel of the Clemson defense. I understand that all the LSU-Clemson plays are on the tape, but hearing how, as a QB, he processed and dissected Venables' defense could be valuable for Ryan Day and Justin Fields.
Last year, we put 516 yards on Clemson but our offense stalled after the first few drives. In contrast, after trailing 17-7 in the second quarter, LSU’s offense thrived for the rest of the game and put 628 yards on Clemson.
So if you were Ryan Day, would you reach out to Joe Burrow (over Zoom, of course) and/or Jeff Hafley? The latter had a recent encounter with Clemson, where BC’s defense did reasonably well.
