For those of you who might be curious about Ohio State's schedule for the holiday weekend and Sugar Bowl week: The Buckeyes practiced on Wednesday and Thursday. Players have been asked to stay on campus for Christmas, but they won't practice again until Sunday.
Tomorrow, per Ohio State, “players and coaches will informally roll in and out of the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for a Christmas Day, socially-distanced brunch.” Movies will be on the big screen at the facility, there will be Christmas trees on the turf and Santa Claus (played by assistant strength and conditioning coach Niko Palazeti) will be making a visit.
The Buckeyes will have meetings, weight room workouts and treatments on Saturday before officially beginning their game week of practices on Sunday. Ohio State will practice at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before leaving for New Orleans on Thursday afternoon, and they'll hold a walkthrough at the Superdome after they arrive.
The team will fly back to Columbus after the Friday night game.
As for interviews with coaches and players, those are set to take place on Monday and Tuesday, while Ryan Day will also have a press conference on Thursday morning before the game, and you can count on us to have plenty of coverage from all of those media sessions.
