Ohio State just announced that all classes for the 2020 summer term will be offered solely online.
As of yet, it is unknown whether this will impact summer practices for the football team. According to Ohio State Provost Bruce McPheron, the university is evaluating whether clinical experiences, graduate research, and creative experiences can be safely carried out within the summer term. Presumably, this evaluation also includes athletic practices and competitions.
“Ohio State’s highest priority is the health and well-being of our community, and the university is following public health guidance in all decisions,” McPheron said. “At the same time, we continue to adapt so that all members of the university community can continue in their academic progress.”
