Former Ohio State defensive tackle Adolphus Washington is back on the NFL free-agent market.
The Cincinnati Bengals, who added Washington to their roster in September, announced Tuesday that they have waived Washington after just one season with the team.
A Cincinnati native, Washington was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2016 and spent three seasons with the Bills before joining his hometown team last season. He played only sparingly for the Bengals, however, recording six total tackles and one sack in four games.
Now, he will look to land with a team that needs depth at the defensive tackle position; that opportunity could come after the NFL draft, when teams will turn back to the free-agent market to fill any needs they weren't able to address through the draft.
