College football needs to toss the 13 member committee. Some have to recuse themselves when talking about their team or any relation on that team, it's kind of absurd. Too much subjectivity is involved. There needs to be criteria that must be followed to give some guidance or else it just becomes a popularity contest.
I'm for tossing the committee and using the BCS algorithm and taking the top 4. It would be much better, more objective, less time consuming for the 13 members of the committee and a heck of a lot cheaper as well.
Someone applied the BCS formula used prior to 2014 by using the current AP and Coaches Poll rankings and Ken Massey’s computer composite. Here are the top five.
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio St.
4. Clemson
5. Notre Dame
