Eugene "downtown" Brown III is part of the Basketball Bucks 45th ranked recruiting class of 2020. He broke his leg his junior year of high school, was virtually unranked as a recruiting prospect entering his senior year, ended that year as part of Georgia's 5AAAAA all state team, and ranked somewhere in the 130's, 140's in the 2020 recruiting class, but was being recruited by Louisville, Butler, Georgia, before Jake Diebler recruited him to OSU. Color me unsurprised that he was able to drain back to back 3s from deep in the right corner in clutch time for the Buckeyes. If he can stay consistent he just adds to the depth on the team, which is crucial for any team hoping to compete in the rough and tumble B1G.
Before the UCLA game Chris Holtmann said, when asked about a timeline for Seth Townes return to the court, said pretty much "who knows? could be two months or two days" and actually he meant to say 17 minutes into the first half of the UCLA game. So one of the great mysteries of 2020 has been resolved. He actually is gonna play this year. But no expectations on how much he plays or at what level he is able to compete given its been 2(or is it 3?) years since he played. But hes gotta be psyched to just be getting mauled by some 6'9" 270 lb power forward and live to tell about it! Welcome to the B1G Mr. Townes!
