I was talking with a buddy about coaches, and we got on the topic of Dantonio, and if he would ever leave MSU for another head coaching job.
He's 59 years old, has been very successful as both a coordinator and head coach, and has shown he can both recruit, and develop top level talent. I think the MSU head coaching position is a very good job, I wouldn't put it into the top tier of coaching jobs.
I think if he was offered a job at school that was more willing to put money into facilities, coaching salaries, etc, he would leave. But there are probably only a dozen head coaching positions in the country better than MSU, and many wouldn't be a good fit for the brand of football he makes a living on.
What do you think. Would he leave for another head coaching job, and if so, where?
