So, my wife and I bought 5 acres and we are looking at building our first home. Anyone go through this around me and recommended builders? I'm getting nervous about the price and the upgrades my wife wants to do and keep trying to talk her down.

Ideally, I'd like to start basic and then make modifications as we get some bonus money, etc. The land is paid for already so that's a plus and we are doing as much saving as we can between now and the build time(hopefully next summer). 

Just trying to get some advice before going headfirst into this.
