My brother decided to treat me to an Akron Rubber Ducks game at Canal Park last night. Turns out it was "Cleveland Browns Night". The Ducks jerseys were the Browns "Color Rush" theme - and they were auctioned off after the game.
Anyway, on our way out the gates after the post game fireworks, I saw a little boy - probably 1st or 2nd grade age - wearing a red T shirt. And it had block letters pressed on that said........
" I MAY WEAR AN
ORANGE T SHIRT
BUT I'LL NEVER
WEAR BLUE!!"
I smiled and our eyes locked on to one another - so I fired off the obligatory "O-H"
and the young man replied with as hearty as he could do "I-O!"
We high fived as we passed one another, and we our separate ways. I smiled from ear to ear knowing the tradition is safe in the hands of the next generation.
Eat my shorts - Desmond, you arrogant traitor...........
