With Mother's Day just a couple days away, I've been thinking about my mother a lot lately (unfortunately she has passed away).  She was a HUGE sports fan, and really loved basketball.  We were at a high school game against my school's biggest rival.  It was a heated game and a bunch a young thugs were really harassing her, and one in particular.  When the game was over and we lost, my mother patted that one kid on the head and congratulated him on their win.  I asked her later why she did that, and she shocked me when she said she had to get rid of her chewing gum!  That kid went home with gum in his hair.  I couldn't believe my normally prim and proper Mother would do that....but the little shithead deserved it.   If your Mother is still with you, give her a big hug this weekend.
