A slow couple of days before the big game. I know there are a lot of 80's metal fans here. Tonight and tomorrow, Motley Crue will perform in Los Angeles, their final shows ever (supposedly). They've signed a legal separation agreement that the band can not be reunited nor the band named used unless all four members agree.
Motley defined my high school years. I've seen them live 4 times [1987 'Girls Girls Girls' tour; 2005 'Red White & Crue' tour; 2011 (w/ New York Dolls and Poison); and 2014 'The Final Tour.']
They went through their bizarre years where Vince Neil quit or was fired (replaced by John Corabi), then Tommy Lee quit (replaced by Randy Castillo and Samantha Maloney), Mick's health issues, etc. Still the original four made great music and had great chemistry at one point. Tommy's drum solos were always over the top ridiculous and fun to watch.
Sad to see it come to an end.
