Every Friday until the start of the 2014 season I will post a picture of a place I took my Craig Krenzel matryoshka doll (and my kids) to.

For fun try to guess the location. If you get it right, you won't win anything except for the admiration of your fellow Eleven Warriors for your Central Ohio knowledge.

Where is Craig?

Where is Craig?

To kill more time during the off-season you can read the Countdown and No. 43.

Hint No. 1: I would not have been at this building when I visited as a kid in the 1980s.

Please answer if convenient. If inconvenient, please answer all the same.

Not sure why the picture turned out so blurry. My Krenzel doll must have Bigfoot powers.

Blurry

The old Central H.S. in Franklinton, which became the new COSI.

On a side note,

I downloaded Were In The World Is Carmen Sandiego on my phone.

COSI

COSI is correct. Giving hints that aren't too easy or difficult is hard. Joe Blundo I am not.

Remy, I just thought of this today. Is there any chance in bringing back the where is Craig Krenzel Matryoshka doll contest? It will help us pass the offseason better.

It is disappointing that this thread is so short with no hijacks.

Remy, I bought a 2002 championship Matrushka doll when I was in Moscow, Russia in 2004. It contained Krenzel, Clarett, Doss and Wilhelm. Where did you get yours? Does yours have other players inside it?

HayesTresselMeyer,
My wife's uncle worked/lived in Moscow several years ago. For Christmas in 2005 or 2006 he gave me the Craig Krenzel Matryoshoka doll that he bought in Moscow. The smaller dolls inside were the key players on the 2002 National Championship team. The players in order: Craig Krenzel, Maurice Clarett, Michael Jenkins, Alex Stepanovich and Will Smith. The name of the market was Izmailovsky, just outside of Moscow.

I just saw your post, sorry for the delay in responding.

Thanks. I saw what you wrote about it on another post. I'm still trying to find all the pieces to mine. So far all I've found is Matt Wilhelm and half of Clarett and Mike Doss. I don't know the name of the market I went to. It was outside and huge and had all kinds of souvenirs. I didn't expect to see Ohio State football stuff.

Her uncle found a guy in that market (Izmailovsky) who made personalized dolls. He gave the doll maker pictures of the Buckeyes he wanted and the talented doll maker painted them to match the pictures.

How long and why were you in Moscow?

We adopted our daughters there in 2004 and 2006. We stayed with a host family each time for 3 weeks. They took us to different places to shop.

So weird seeing Groveport Heisman's comments up top.
