One of Michigan's former standout players is no longer on the program's football staff.
According to Adam Rittenberg of ESPN, Denard Robinson and the Wolverines have parted ways following his drunken driving arrest in April. The former Michigan quarterback had been on the Wolverines' staff since February 2022 as an assistant director of player personnel.
Robinson was arrested in April after he wrecked his vehicle in a single-car crash while intoxicated at 3:05 a.m., around a mile and a half south of Michigan's football headquarters at Schembechler Hall. His case has been submitted to the Ann Arbor city attorney's office for review. The report was unclear on whether Robinson was terminated or resigned.
Robinson had an illustrated playing career for the Wolverines from 2009-2012, throwing for 49 touchdowns while rushing for 42 touchdowns and running for more than 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons.
