Could they have specifically been talking to Wisconsin directly? Their non-conference year in and year out is fairly darn weak. Bret wants the teams he can hang 60 on to pad the stats and get to conference games undefeated.

And then lose in the Rose Bowl...

And then get another QB transfer from the ACC...

BUCKEYES BABY!

And then whine when you can't get a recruit...

The offseason begins when your season ends. Even then there are no days off.

And then accuse other coaches of being unethical.

Class of 2010.

scheduling 1 premier OOC opponent would be a good start Wisconsin.

Lol at BYU counting as "premier"

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

Still has more national championships than Virginia Tech

BYU is a solid program.

me thinks the entire league needs to play just one non conference cream puff a year, and schedule quality teams. time for the big 10 to put one their big boy underwear and play some one that is competent, and justify the cost of tickets and exploding tv fees to watch game.

BYU?
Washington State?

At least you can get a burrito as big as your head in Madison...

I wouldn't mind playing like...Texas or USC or Alabama in a major OOC tilt, and then maybe a program a notch down from that like Clemson or WV.

Class of 2010.

Two that big is asking a lot.  ...Like 'Bama and ND.  Of course, LSU played Oregon and WVU last year which is even more difficult.
I think 1 really big game and then a respectable second or 3rd tier team from a major conference (the Ole Miss, Baylor, Arizona types)

Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

^^^ recently ND has been in the class of Baylor and Arizona.

Uhh I hate to break it to you but no way is ND on the same level as Bama. Like NOWHERE near. I know you TTUN fans are trying to prop yourselves up by bragging about beating them and all but you ain't foolin anyone.

The problem with scheduling food teams is that there's no guarantee that they'll be godo when you play then in 5 years. Just look at the Cal game for example.

but Wisconsin... ANYBODY would be a step up at this point...

Banned from ATO since June 3rd 2PMish PST

"In other news, computer programmers across the globe are still scrambling to find a fix to the dreaded Y2K bug threatening to shut down all computers at the beginning of next year, Ricky Martin's 'Livin La Vida Loca' topped the charts once again this week, and the Cleveland Browns will finally take the field once again after a 5 year absence."
Seriously, this conversation should have happened over 10 years ago.
