PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
Finally. Let's do this.

Not gonna lie, I miss the #11W hashtag.
Man, good call. We'll weave that back into next week's live blog.
So since the live blog isn't up yet, I'll ask here...what's the deal with Oregon? Are they going to get sanctioned/suspended at all for the $25,000? No one talks about it at all anymore. I guess I want that to happen more for them than for anyone, as Chip Kelly has always seemed really arrogant to me, and Oregon has been he college football darling for the last couple of years. That, and tOSU getting it's reputation hammered, while everyone has forgotten about Oregon.
Urban in the booth? Heavy-handed script writers at ESPN, huh?
Maybe Spielman will be Urban's DC.
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
Defense looks hungry!
I can see why Rod Smith was last in the) pecking order. Runs soft, doesn't hit the hole hard, and fumbled barely being touched. Hyde you're [cencored) in!!!
Akron can't get passed the 50. Let's go Fick, how about some throws to Stoneburner like we hear every preseason?
Here comes Braxton!
Fragel with a drop, 3rd and 8
3 and out. Bad snap. Offense looked terrible there.
Looks like defense will have to score a few. Offense looks as timid as a freshman on his 1st day of school.
Auburn getting worked by Utah State
D-line is like Scarlet wall! Ahh just missed a sack,
Hyde trucking dudes
No Philly Brown or Stoney in sight. 2 biggest weapons not being utilized. O-line is playing very well.
For 6'2" 230, Smith runs like Maurice Wells
Stoney for 6. Could come back thoug...never mind, roughing the passer. TD!
Dominick Clark making plays out there. 2 pass deflections already
DC definitely looked legit out there today.
Defense not giving up anything, time for another score!
Fragel rock with a 1st down!
Bauserman can't find anyone down field. Where is Philly, Verlon Reed?
Wow 2 missed field goals in a row. We gotta a lot of work to do
Sweaty with an amazing pick! Stoney picks up his 2nd T.D.
Only 1 series for Braxton in the 1st half, ouch!
I like Fickell's use of the timeouts. Tressel would burn clock.
I'd like to know how many unused 1st half timeouts Tressel piled up, during his tenure at OSU.
Mark May running his mouth already, wish someone would clock him in his arrogant pie hole.
Yep. Ohio State up 21-0 at halftime is a major show of weakness, but Alabama up 21-0 at the half is just them "having mercy" on their opponent.
1st half thoughts
Baus looks so so, has all day to throw most of the time, looks like Boekman at times especially when he takes off running. Hyde looks good! Smith looks ok, nothing great. Really missin Hall and Berry for game breaking plays.
Wideouts look as expected, not much of an impact. Glad to see Stoney gettin his catches. 2 scores in the 1st half. He could do that every game.
D-line looks great against the run as usual. Not much qb pressure on passes and no sacks I believe.
DB's look good!
Stoney for his 3rd TD. All he does is catch TD's, nice!!
It could be 48-0 and May would say with his arrogant mouth "BUT ITS AKRON, NOT IMPRESSIVE!!"
The Baus looks 50 with his beard. Uh oj Corey Brown10 is down.
Not Lettin Braxton do much, this sucks.
I have to ask because I'm technically curious, but can you guys not see the CoverItLive embed at the top of this page? If you prefer old-school comments, that's fine, but if it's missing entirely for you, I will want to fix that.
Braxton puttin on a little show, let em lose!
Braxton with a laser to Devin Smith!! TD
Auburn's gettin worked into the 4th by powerhouse Utah State. Guess Fairly and Newton were more important than I thought.
Michael Bennet showin that he's the future star of the D-line.
Damn, ESPN! Showing a highlight package from 41-14. Damn!
Would love to see a bomb to D.Smith at one point.
Wow, Smith and Braxton. Lookin good together! Smith with 3 catches and a td.
Rod Smith? Where's all the hype,
2 easy dropped short passes, and a fumble in the red zone earlier. Hate to say it but he didn't make that impressive impact today that people wanted to see with Hall, Berry, and Boom out.
Damn! #34? I think the rugby dude, is killing Akron players today. Nice play in the backfield.
Spencer with the best catch I've ever seen!!! We got some stud freshman WR's buckeye fans! Wowwwww
Rod Smtih with his 1st career TD! ESpin says its Christian Bryant on the scoreboard, [cencored] Retards!
Shazier shoots through the hole like a silver bullett for a sack..yeah he's fast.
AUBURN YOU'RE [cencored]in OUT!!!!
Its safe to say Braxton throws harder than Pryor did. Lasers#
There goes our 1st O-line injury, the freshman Underwood.
Regarding, rolling up the score: I love Spielman's point, that Ohio State shouldn't care about hurting Akron's feelings, to which Meyer replied, a coach owes an obligation to his players., to let them play.
Great game. Hats off to Fick, the staff and team.
Enjoyed the live blog all. Headset jokes will live on in my mind for the day.
Huge applause as UM defense makes their first tackle. Bronx cheer? After all, the gain was 5-6 yards for WMU.
Utah St Aggies got something to build on today.
