In two previous games against the Illini this season, the trio of Turner, Lighty and Diebler have averaged 51 points per game. If they can do that again today, the Buckeyes will be playing in the final tomorrow.
But, knowing how hard it is to beat a team three times in one season, we're hunkering down for a battle and hoping for the best. Good thing we have The Villain.

sloppy, period. the villian has gotta pick it up in the 2nd half. unbeliveable that jordan and tisdale Jr have double digits combined off the bench for them.
ET needs to cut down on the TOs. Diebler may need to be a difference maker in the 2nd half.

quit crying about the calls - we have no heart today - turner and lighty are forcing it too much - Illinois is fighting for a berth in the dance - hard to beat a team 3 times -we took a nap early when they had a 14-0 run - we got lucky yesterday - wasting a 10 point lead.

Coach Matta: Secure a patent for the "10 minute" nap while you can. This is predictable and ridiculous. As conservative as a Tressel-coached team is, a Matta-coached team is equally irresponsible down the stretch.

This has been an amazingly fun tournament to watch.

That should secure a #2 seed. I am not picking this team past the 2nd round in the NCAAs. The lack of discipline and clock management will eventually catch up to this team.

Gotta love Buckeye pessimists. I guess I'm just an optimistic guy. I don't think any Buckeye fan should be pessimistic or angry, that is spoiled and brat-like to put it simple. We've been blessed with an abundance of success inside of our athletic program.

I am just frustrated... seeing so much potential with this team and they just can't seem to put more that 20 total minutes of good / disciplined basketball together. In watching Purdue, perhaps I should just be grateful for those 20 good minutes.

You know, I can see this team losing in the sweet 16, I could also see them making arun to the final four. They are a fun team to watch but they have a way of not going for the kill. Although, there are a lot of teams this year that do that. There just aren't many "great" teams this year that will go out there and blast other teams.

As the site spoiled-sport for the day... it HAS now also dawned on me that as a 5 man team, they may just gasping for air whenever possible (aka: 10 minute naps) during the Big Ten tourney to make sure that there is plenty of gas in the tank come the NCAAs!??!
