Cancer took a shot to the chin this weekend as Ohio State's BuckeyeThon raised a record-setting $1.7 million for pediatric cancer research.
BuckeyeThon is a 24-hour, massive charity dance marathon put on by Ohio State students. Participants seek donations and all proceeds are donated to the Nationwide Children's Hospital.
This year's total of $1,704,184.19 is the most ever raised by the event, topping last year's total of $1,603,439.49.
The past five years, BuckeyeThon has raised $7.3 million for childhood cancer research.
Get dumped then, cancer.
