No one has ever had a longer fumble return touchdown in the NFL playoffs than Sam Hubbard did on Sunday night.
With the Baltimore Ravens on the verge of taking a lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the former Ohio State defensive end flipped the game in an instant when he plucked a Tyler Huntley fumble out of the air and returned it all the way to the opposing end zone for a 98-yard touchdown, giving the Bengals a 24-17 lead.
The big man needed some oxygen on the sideline after the score:
Hubbard’s touchdown would be the final score of the night, making all the difference in the game for the Bengals to advance to the divisional round of the playoffs – where they’ll play the Buffalo Bills next Sunday at 3 p.m. – with a 24-17 victory.
It was the second fumble return touchdown of Hubbard’s career, as he also had a 19-yard return for a touchdown in a regular-season game during his rookie season in 2018.
