For the second-straight year, Ohio State had double-digit draft picks, tying Alabama for the most picks in this year's draft and becoming the only team to have double-digit picks in both this year's class and last year's.
Here's a rundown of how the draft shook out.
Round 1, Pick 12: Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
- It was later than expected, but Justin Fields went to the Chicago Bears with the No. 11 overall pick.
- Following the Fields pick, Ohio State players and coaches went properly nuts on Twitter.
- Fields wasn't bothered by slipping in the draft, saying "everything happens for a reason."
- The Bears felt fortunate they were able to trade up for Fields and liked his toughness and focus.
- Ryan Day said a second consecutive top-15 quarterback in the draft is "great for recruiting."
Round 2, Pick 60: Pete Werner, New Orleans Saints
- The second Buckeye off the board, linebacker Pete Werner was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the second round with the No. 60 overall pick.
Round 2, Pick 62: Josh Myers, Green Bay Packers
- Following the departure of fellow former Buckeye center Corey Linsley, Josh Myers was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the second round with the No. 62 overall pick.
Round 3, Pick 86: Wyatt Davis, Minnesota Vikings
- After a unanimous All-American season, Wyatt Davis was selected in the third round with the No. 86 overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings.
Round 3, Pick 88: Trey Sermon, San Francisco 49ers
- Following his hot streak to end the season, Trey Sermon was picked in the third round with the No. 88 overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers.
Round 3, Pick 105: Baron Browning, Denver Broncos
- It was later than he expected, but Baron Browning was eventually selected by the Denver Broncos at the end of the third round with the No. 105 overall pick.
Round 4, Pick 132: Tommy Togiai, Cleveland Browns
- Tommy Togiai is staying in the Buckeye State as the Cleveland Browns selected him in the fourth round with the No. 132 overall pick.
- Togiai has no regrets about leaving Ohio State early because he “was betting on myself.”
Round 5, Pick 145: Luke Farrell, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Luke Farrell is reuniting with Urban Meyer as the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him at the top of the fifth round with the No. 145 overall pick.
Round 5, Pick 160: Shaun Wade, Baltimore Ravens
