Sam Hubbard hasn't played a snap in a Bengals uniform, but is already breaking records thanks to an outpouring of support from his family.

Hubbard's family broke a Bengals team shop record this offseason by ordering 164 custom jersey with his name and number on the back. It's an unmatched outpouring of support for Hubbard, a former Moeller High School standout returning to his home city to play professionally.

From WCPO.com:

“It’s unprecedented for us really for a player’s family to come and order that many jerseys all at once,” said Bengals Pro Shop Merchandise Manager Monty Montague. “So we were thrilled when they did, obviously. We are getting them produced as we speak, and they should be seeing them in the next couple of weeks.”

The order submitted July 16 depleted what the Pro Shop had in its inventory for customized jerseys. There already have been requests for a second order.

“We carry blank jerseys available for customized jerseys for any player and other names,” Montague said. “They went heavy and deep into some of our sizes that we had to order some more from Nike and get them to our embellishment company.”

Hubbard's jersey still won't be added to the inventory of ready-made jerseys like A.J. Green, Andy Dalton, or Geno Adkins. But if this sort of support continues, they might need to carry it.
