Ezekiel Elliott scored against the Tamp Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football and celebrated by jumping into a Salvation Army Kettle.
It was a cool and fun holiday gesture, which is why many people thought the NFL couldn't resist fining Elliott:
Elliott finished with 159 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries in the 26-20 win as the Cowboys moved to 12-2 on the season.
Monday, Elliott received more good news: The NFL won't fine him.
From profootballtalk.com:
The NFL confirmed today that Elliott won’t be fined for the celebration, which drew a lot of attention on social media — including from the Salvation Army, which appreciated Elliott’s gesture.
Elliott, however, will pay the Salvation Army regardless:
Elliott and the Cowboys are next in action Monday, Dec. 26th, when they host the Detroit Lions at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
