Ohio State now has commitments from both of the top two prospects in the 2024 recruiting class.

Having already landed a commitment in May from the class’ No. 1 overall prospect, Dylan Raiola, the Buckeyes landed a commitment from the class’ No. 2 overall prospect on Wednesday when Jeremiah Smith announced his intention to become a Buckeye.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Raiola (1.000) and Smith (0.9982) would currently be two of the top six highest-rated prospects to ever sign with Ohio State along with Quinn Ewers, Terrelle Pryor, Ted Ginn Jr. and JT Tuimoloau. If his current ranking holds, Smith would become the highest-ranked wide receiver to ever sign with the Buckeyes, surpassing Julian Fleming.

Raiola and Smith are currently the only two of the top 14 prospects in 247Sports’ composite rankings for 2024 to be committed to schools, and Ohio State is the only school to have two top-25 players committed in the class.

Ohio State would become the first team to ever sign the top two prospects in the composite rankings in the same class.

Raiola and Smith are joined by Ian Moore (the No. 59 overall prospect in the class) and Garrett Stover (No. 168) as players who have committed to Ohio State in the 2024 class.
