BlogPoll Ballot: November 19

By David Sokol on November 19, 2012 at 12:00p

Another crazy weekend is in the books, leaving us to scramble a bit on our BlogPoll ballot.

With a boatload of crucial losses, there was plenty of movement in the top 5, including Notre Dame jumping up to number one and Ohio State to number two.

Let us know what you think in the comments.

By default, Notre Dame moves into the number one spot. They've taken care of business and there is no argument that the Irish shouldn't be here right now. They now travel to Southern California for what could be a chance to play for the national championship. What a year so far for Brian Kelly and crew. 2
The Buckeyes outlasted Wisconsin in OT and disallowed Montee Ball to break the TD record on an epic goal-line stand by the Buckeyes. 3
Is Alabama really a top two or three team? All these questions will be answered when Alabama and Georgia face off in the SEC title game in a few weeks.  3
Georgia plays in-state rival Georgia Tech before heading to the SEC title game in Atlanta, where they could very well be playing for a trip to the BCS title game. --
Doinkkkk. Oregon hit the upright in OT, setting up an easy FG for Stanford to potentially lose a chance at the national title. Oregon now has to pray USC beats Notre Dame and a lot of other things happen. 4
Getting blown out by a mediocre team all but ended their BCS title run. Now they look up at the rest and hope for the best. 4
Things could work out well for Florida State in the BCS, especially if they beat Florida this weekend. A win could boost their ranking big time. 2
A stunning win over Oregon in Eugene keeps the Cardinal rolling toward a potential BCS bowl berth. 5
Johnny Football took down Sam Houston State (SEC scheduling woes) and plays Missouri this weekend. 2
Clemson overcame an early deficit to put up 62 against NC State (a 62-48 win). The Tigers welcome South Carolina this weekend in a big, big rivalry game. --
Florida does only have one loss, but a series off mediocre play has them dropping in the polls. They could definitely jump up significantly with a win in Tallahassee this weekend against the Seminoles. 1
Woaw, Les Miles. Ole Miss should have taken the Bayou Bengals down, but a late realization by LSU lifted them, 41-35, over the Rebels. 4
Those watching the Ohio State game were probably astonished by the bottom line reading UCLA 28-0 over USC. USC did attempt a comeback but UCLA won, 38-28. 3
Nebraska is in good position to win the Big Ten. A win for them at Iowa will send them to the conference title game. They'll also be rooting hard for Ohio State, as an OSU win over Michigan sends Nebraska to Indy as well. 1
South Carolina is one of those in-between SEC teams that some people think are great, others don't agree. A win over Clemson could change the minds of those people and potentially some higher-tier bowl scouts. 4
The Sooners pulled one out over WVU, 50-49. Is Landry Jones still on the team? I don't think we've heard his name all year. 2
The Civil War of the Northwest faces Oregon against the other OSU this weekend, which could be one of the top games of the week. 1
Texas is back! Not really. We've been saying this all year as they hover around 20th overall. The Longhorns face TCU this weekend. 1
In his last Big Ten game (pending a trip to the conference title game), Denard Robinson could be the second-string QB to Devin Gardner against Ohio State. Michigan badly needs to beat Ohio State and hope Nebraska loses to Iowa. "The Game" is here, by the way. 5
Rutgers beat Cincinnati on the road, 10-3, and control their own destiny to win the Big East for the first time in the school's long football history. 5
Louisville needs to beat Rutgers in a few weeks to win the conference. 2
Oklahoma put up 59 points in a shootout win over Texas Tech (21 points). --
Kent State will play #24 NIU in the MAC championship game and plays Ohio U this weekend. --
Northern Illinois will play #23 Kent State in the MAC championship game. --
Northwestern does have three losses, but has remained a tough contender for all opponents this season. This has been the best or one of the Pat Fitzgerald's best teams during his coaching tenure. --
Dropouts: USC Trojans, Mississippi St. Bulldogs, Wisconsin Badgers
