BlogPoll Ballot: October 22

By David Sokol on October 22, 2012 at 12:00p

The Eleven Warriors' ballot has been submitted and there is plenty of movement across the top-25.

Take a look and let us know what you think.

Once again, you can also check out our ballot, as well as all of the others, on the BlogPoll site while also following on Twitter at @BlogPollTop25.

Alabama boasts a veteran QB, playmakers at every position, and a defense that could compete with a few NFL teams (probably not really, but you know what I mean). The Tide have an extremely tough stretch welcoming Mississippi State this weekend and then traveling to LSU the next. SEC season is heating up! --
Oregon impressed on Thursday night, rocking Arizona State, 43-21. Oregon has a trap game against Colorado this weekend before rolling into L.A.. to face the USC Trojans in a Pac-12 showdown. --
Florida dominated South Carolina and with a win against UGA this weekend in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, the Gators will be playing the SEC Championship Game. Who would have thought both of last year's Gator Bowl teams would be undefeated and in the top-10? --
Bill Snyder has got to be a beyond a legend at Kansas State right now. K-State rolled over West Virginia, 55-14, and continues to march towards the Big 12 crown. 1
LSU won at A&M and the Tiger defense is looking good, as usual. They have a nice bye before welcoming 'Bama in. 1
Notre Dame escaped from BYU by 3 and Brian Kelly wasn't too happy with the close win. 2
Notre Dame only beat Purdue by 3 at home, so why should the Buckeyes be penalized for winning in OT? OSU showed resilience when Braxton Miller went down with what many thought was a serious injury and Kenny Guiton led the Buckeyes to an epic overtime win.  2
The other OSU had a nice win over Utah, 21-7, and visits Washington this weekend. 2
Oklahoma rocked Kansas. Wait, who hasn't rocked Charlie Weis' Kansas team? 1
QB Matt Barkley is back on the Heisman wagon and USC continues to roll. However, they're still chasing the two Oregon schools in the conference. 1
Florida State beat up on Miami-FL. Yaawn. This would have been cool back in the 90s. 1
Georgia gets to go from playing poorly against Kentucky to playing Florida in one of the nation's better rivalry games with major, major implications on the SEC East. 1
Mississippi State dominated Middle Tennessee State and prepares for a massive game at Alabama which will confirm their top-15 spot (if they can stay within 14 points). 2
Clemson looked good against a poor VT team and as long as they have QB Tajh Boyd, they'll be a good team. --
Texas Tech had a nice shootout win over TCU, 56-53, and gets my vote for the top-15 (along with the AP's). 5
South Carolina got owned by Florida in The Swamp. It seems like every year, the Cocks have super high expectations and have a few major letdowns, keeping them out of SEC contention. Seems to be trending in that direction again. 9
Rutgers may be the Big East's best team, overcoming an early deficit against Temple and winning convincingly. Could this be their first Big East title? 2
The Cardinal beat Cal, 21-3, and continues to roll along. 3
Boise State continues to roll through their cupcake schedule on their way to a mediocre bowl, although the top-25 ranking is nice. 6
Michigan snuck one out versus "little bro" Michigan State with a late FG, 12-10. The Wolverines are one of three Big Ten teams ranked in the top-25 on this ballot. 2
Louisville continues to win, even if their games have been close. They look to be the class of the conference with Rutgers. 4
A&M lost a close one to LSU, but still gets respect here. They're at least holding their own in the SEC, unlike *cough Missouri cough*. 1
Along with the two Gator Bowl teams currently undefeated, this Idaho Potato Bowl victor has yet to lose a game. This has been a historic season so far for the Bobcats. 1
La Tech put up 70 points against Idaho. I don't care who you're playing; scoring 70 points against a 1A team is impressive. --
Since PSU's first couple losses in their first two games, the Nittany Lions have looked good, winning this week at Iowa, 38-14. They deserved to crack this ballot. --
Dropouts: West Virginia Mountaineers, Cincinnati Bearcats
