BlogPoll Top 25: September 10

Here it is: Eleven Warriors' ballot for this week's Top 25.

There is a ton of movement in the heart of the poll as several marquee programs were upset. In addition, several programs set themselves apart this week and solidified themselves in the poll.

1 Alabama dominated cupcake Western Kentucky, but did it semi-respectfully, winning 35-0. --
2 The Trojans had a tougher time than expected with the weather and the Orange in MetLife Stadium. Barkley did throw six touchdowns en route to a 42-29 victory. --
3 LSU dominated upset-minded Washington in Death Valley, 41-3. Many had thought UW would crack the top 25 before this week. Not the case now. --
4 Oregon's RB Barner ran for over 200 yards and three scores as Oregon handled Fresno State, 42-25. --
5 In one of the more interesting endings of the night, FSU's game was called early due to weather up 55-0 over Savannah St. However, the spread was much higher...Vegas is probably not too happy. --
6 Georgia let Missouri hang around for quite a while before welcoming them to the SEC with a prompt fourth quarter beat down. UGA outscored Mizzou, 17-0, in the fourth. --
7 Patsy Florida A&M had no shot against the Sooners. Score: 69-13 --
8 WVU was off this week and gets James Madison next. --
9 The other USC dominated East Carolina, 48-10, in Columbia, SC. 1
10 Sparty looks to be the class of a down Big Ten, dominating CMU, 41-7, on RB Bell's two TDs. 3
11 Clemson smacked Ball State, 52-27, behind Tajh Boyd's three TDs. --
12 Buckeyes were able to shake off a pesky Central Florida team with Braxton Miller once again racking up the yards and scores on the ground. Next up is California at the 'Shoe. --
13 Austin Peay got paid and Tech sent them back home with a 42-7 smacking. 1
14 With a handful of huge plays, Texas whacked New Mexico, 45-0. Have the Longhorns finally come around this year? 2
15 KSU QB Collin Klein filled up the box score and helped the 'Cats wreck Miami-FL, 52-13.  4
16 The Gators welcomed Texas A&M to the SEC by defeating the Aggies and their 12th Man, 20-17, in a late afternoon thriller. Florida won a big game on the road and deserves the big boost in the polls. 8
17 Notre Dame didn't look great at times, shuffling between quarterbacks since QB Rees was eligible from suspension. The Irish still got the win against a respectable opponent in Purdue with a last-second FG for the win. 3
18 The Horned Frogs wrecked Grambling in their opener as Gary Patterson became TCU's all-time winningest coach. 4
19 Stanford trucked Duke, 50-13. Well, it's Duke and it's football, so this is nothing surprising. 4
20 Michigan's defense is very, very suspect, allowing big play after big play by AFA. Good thing they have Denard Robinson to rush for 218 yards and a TD. This may be a long season for the Wolverines if their defense doesn't improve by the start of Big Ten play. 1
21 The pride of the Big East demolished Missouri State behind QB Teddy Bridgewater's 344 yards and two passing TDs. 4
22 Ouch. Arkansas lost in OT to UL-Monroe. Yep, you read that correctly. There goes Arkansas' top ten ranking, respect and dignity, probably for the season. 13
23 New to the polls, the Vols handled Georgia State, 51-13, behind Justin Hunter's three TD catches. We'll see how the Vols do once the SEC schedule kicks off for them. --
24 The Cougars are also new to the polls, taking down Weber State, 45-13. Next, they're at rival Utah. --
25 Another embarrassing loss for the Big Ten with Wisconsin going down, 10-7, at Oregon State. Really Wisco? Seven points? Wasn't Wisco supposed to be one of the conference's gems? 8
