Kansas flat out killed the Buckeyes in the paint posting a 32-16 scoring advantage and OSU shot a miserable 24% in the 2nd half (8/33) while poor transition defense helped the Jayhawks hit on 54% of their shots in the final 20 minutes as they outscored the Buckeyes by 11 points to erase a 34-25 halftime deficit.
William Buford led the Buckeyes with 19 points but OSU couldn't overcome a combined 8/33 shooting effort from Jared Sullinger and Deshaun Thomas.
You have to say this young team still had an outstanding season but it's hard not to think of what might have been after watching the 2nd half collapse.
