If you can swim in a pond you can definitely swim in a pool.

Just because you can swim in a pool doesn't mean that you're gonna want to swim in a pond.

Country --> City is easier.

oooh, the old transition to a bucolic lifestyle...

It's tripped-up many along the way...Chevy Chase in Funny Farm, Zha Zha Gabor in Green Acres, Kevin Bacon in Footloose, Ralph Macchio, Marrisa Tomei and Joe Pesci in My  Cousin Vinny, etc..

I think it's easier to go from country to city, take Jethro Bodine and Ellie Mae as an example...

I agree.

At a school like LSU I would guess that Joe may be factually correct in alluding to the football program bringing in a lot more financial resources than it consumes.

That said,  I think he would have been better off leaving that Professor's comment alone.

I hope they struggle like crazy but let's not forget that Urban came in here and implemented his spread offense in one offseason and we quickly went 12-0 that year.

Outside of Braxton Miller we didn't really have prototypical RPO/spread guys on that offense.  We had El Guapo-- a big and really good power running back but not your usual, quick back that you run your spread RPO with.  I think our slot receiver was Jake Stoneburner...also not your typical slot receiver in a spread offense.

Jimmy and Gattis aren't exactly on Urban's level but it's certainly possible for them to make the shift from a pro-style offense to a spread/RPO system in a year.

If Jordan James took those predictions to Vegas and bet all of his money on those games the same way he predicts them my prediction is that he would need to walk or hitchhike to the nearest homeless shelter after the season was over because at the end of it he would be bankrupt.

Absolutely horrible predictions by Jordan James...top to bottom just awful.

I want Joe Burrow to succeed at LSU.  I also want Tate to succeed at Miami.  If they play against us I want us to kick their ass but other than that I'd love to see them succeed.

Tate wanted to be a Buckeye.  Read the article, his dream was crushed.  He wasn't a bad guy, read his quotes.  A lot of players in his shoes would rip on the program and the coaching staff...he's not.

Here are some of the quotes in the article..  "Ohio State, that was my dream school," Martell said during an interview this spring. "I was sick to my stomach. There was almost a point where I was like, 'I'm going to roll the dice anyway' because I wanted to be there."

There is a whole industry/ecosystem built around this sort of thing now.  It's why presidential candidates include in their campaign platforms reduction of regulation and compliance laws now.

In my company we are always getting hit by new regulations and testing...some of it around hazardous materials, some around not buying certain materials from certain regions of the world, some around processes (transport, importation, exporting, buying/selling, payment processing, etc.).   Maybe 30% or so are valid and needed to protect safety/health, etc..  About 50% are primarily bullshit fake boogeymen created by special interest groups who get paid to consult on and fix the  exact fake problems that they identified and created.

It sucks but it's very hard to solve.

My wife asked me why Louis Littt from the TV show Suits was on Ohio State's sideline.  At first I was like WTF but then I can sort of see the resemblance.   Clearly Day isn't a schlub like Louis is but I can see why she may have confused them.

Can't believe no one gave that kid a yellow pages phone book to sit on before they took that picture...

yeh, typical UM fan, making-up stats to make them look better, even if they aren't true....

I'm surprised that we haven't heard from scUM about how under Harbaugh they never, ever lost in Tuscaloosa or Clemson or Norman Oklahoma.  They have also never, ever lost a regular season game under Harbaugh on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.  Harbaugh at scUM is undefeated on EVERYONE OF THOSE DAYS!  Even on Saturdays Harbaugh has won more games then he has lost so on almost every day of the week he is undefeated and even on Saturdays they have been pretty good so all-in they are very great under Harbaugh.

That seemed like such an obscure and made-up stat that I didn't believe it to be accurate so I did a quick check...

Wisonsin also won 10 or more games in the past 4 years.  Wisconsin's records for the past 4 years:

2018   8 wins 5 losses,   2017 13 wins 1 loss,   2016  11 wins 3 losses  2015  10 wins 3 losses

Then I checked Notre Dame and they also have won more than 10 games in 3 of the past 4 seasons.

After checking just 2 teams and both of them also met or exceeded your stat I realized that your stat really was BS...

Nice try..  You scUMmmer's are unbelievable.
