I agree with this. It's amazing to me how we leave good shooters open on the weak side all of the time and how we continuously get burned doing it. I can't figure out why the coaches don't adjust the defense to help defend this. Maybe it's because they are trying to keep Kaleb out of foul trouble by giving him help down low? Not sure, but getting burned by it over and over again is frustrating.
So is TUN still a basketball school? They just got beat by a football school on their home court so what sport is it now? Asking for a friend.....
It was the same both ways so I didn't have a problem with it. He only watches Duke and UNC (probably not the case but he acts like it) so this B1G basketball is foreign to him.
9-1 last decade can only mean 10-0 this decade. Long live Coach Day and long live Michigan's sadness!
If they get that much money handed to them in public, imagine how much they get behind closed doors.... probably rivals the amount that the SEC refs collect.
I agree. From everything I hear, he's a smart guy and a hard worker.
No printed shirts either.
Coach Day is a pro and I don't think he'd air any bad laundry if there was any.
I didn't know what to think of it. His expression seemed awkward to me.
We took some of their coaches last year and beat them badly, let's take some of their players and beat them down all over again.
BTW another TUN player in the transfer portal and this time it's a DT. Michael Dwumfour is a grad transfer so he would be eligible to play immediately and couldn't be blocked from playing for another B1G team. Maybe he wants to finally get a pair of gold pants....
We are thin there for sure. I have faith in Coach Johnson that he'll have a plan if it happens. He's moved guys from other positions before to fill in, moving guys from edge to the inside or even how he pulled Berry from TE back to DE last year. We are pretty deep on the OL, maybe there's a guy there that he could flip over. 2021 class we have to sign some more quality DT's.
Coach Coombs will have a lot of talent to work with in that secondary which is great. I know there's a lot of concern with the lack of experience but Yoda on Red Bull will get them ready to play and DBU BIA will be a force to be reckoned with.
Money is a great motivator though.
6 guys scored in double figures and we had more assists then turnovers for the first time in awhile. The chemistry looked better on the court and guys were playing with energy. Kaleb and CJ had 4 turnovers each which they still need to work on, especially CJ because it's the point guards job to take care of the ball. Hopefully this builds confidence and gets through to Luther and Duane that they are not bigger than the team.
Nebraska isn't that good but they have played well at times this year beating Iowa and Purdue. They can beat you if they sleep on them like any team, especially in the B1G this year.
At one point he was hurt and went back to the locker room for awhile, then sat on the bench.

Shouldn't the SEC refs be ranked #2?
This is what I was thinking too. There was times when our defense seemed to not be able to stop a running quarterback, especially a big powerful one.
Well, they are a SEC team....
You still have to get enough wins to get into the tournament.
Holtman is a great defensive coach but every year so far his team falls on it's face offensively this time of year. I feel like they wear themselves out on the defensive end of the court and that they have no energy on offense so they end up just chucking 3 pointers. Having Kaleb play away from the basket on offense is hurting us because we are not rebounding our missed shots.
Interesting to see him playing against Justin Field's high school team. Maybe us having Justin and having the chance to play with him will help sweeten the deal? I know grasping at straws...
