I can apologize when I’m wrong wanted to come back to this take.. I still think we would be out losing to Cincy they are actually boosting us to number 1 along with our other wins ... I was wrong

I can’t stand these takes... Clemson should be the scariest team on everyone’s schedule , they didn’t  just fall off they are probably one natty away from being the team of the decade. They thrive on these takes.. they are licking at the chops being number 5 so the can sell the lil ol Clemson narrative. This is not FSU 2014. This is a Brett V defense and from what I have heard from Clemson insider on Z Smith podcast part of Trevor Lawrence’s “slump” has more to do with his growth at running the offense by himself as opposed to Jake fromming it to Higgins and Ross and handing the ball to Etienne. They are a powerhouse program that wants ppl to doubt them...

I know we want to win big and honestly we should. I hope our fans don’t make a big deal even if it’s an ugly win. It’s college football and it’s bound to happen . I think if you told us all we’d be 6-0 and dominated everyone but MSU going into the bye in the summer , that we would have two first round defensive players playing the part , Justin Fields living up to the hype and Ryan Day steering the ship better then UFM up to this point, we would all be ecstatic . Perspective, that being said Buckeyes roll 35-9

Sportsbook of Charleston here in Charleston SC, great Alumni and all Buckeye family welcome , they pick a future Buckeye guy or gal to call the raffle at the half ... great time , I also saw Strike city up in Charlotte they give away great T-shirt’s up there I had a great time even though I was there for the infamous 2015 MSU game. At least the crowd responded to my little girls OH throughout the night!!

I was just talking this with fellow Buckeye fans. We do not have lack of speed at any skill position on offense. What we have IMO is a smart play caller that has beaten team with the bare minimum playbook. The fact that Fields has a 95% ACP with a limited playbook albeit against lesser competition is not cause for concern, it should make Buckeye fans smile with their fangs back... we are gonna light some defenses up when the situation calls for it, the situation just hasn’t come up. Controlled offense, a growing defense, this team is on the verge of something special and I for one can’t wait to look back at this take and laugh

I can't wait, I think Teague is better then people give him credit for, but I really feel like Crowley can push for the back up spot. They aren't the same backs but I would love to watch this year like 06 when we had Pittman (Dobbins) steady churning out 100 yard games while we tell all our buddies, watch out for this Freshmen Beanie (Crowley) as he breaks off a 40 YD TD run!! I can hear the roars in the shoe now!

I mean it’s dumb how they do it but honestly he was only going to play here if Fields got hurt, and then he would of had to win the job presumably against a Redshirt Freshmen Jack Miller in two years , similar to Haskins Burrow debate. He took a shot at immediate eligibility knowing that he was probably losing two if he stayed at OSU. Hopefully he will be able to compete for the starting job at TCU next season, not sure what their QB room looks like, but the incumbent usually has to be inept with a combo of backup talent to unseat.

While this is true , I would use cautious  optimism in this case as Haskins was a redshirt Sophomore. So it was his third year in college and third year with the team. Fields is a redshirt freshmen with two years in college first year with TOSU. As much praise as Trevor Lawrence got he threw 30 touchdowns against only 4 picks. If Fields can duplicate 30-40 with less than 10 picks I would take it right now (obviously). We need strong team defense and Fields to develop steadily through the season to be successful IMO

I can’t wait for anyone who thinks Crowley is a plan B running back because he was a 3 star until he committed to TOSU, watches this kid run. He is going to be special. There’s a reason the U fans are still crying over that kid.

if any of ya'll come down to Charleston South Carolina, get over to Burwells Woodfire Grill and get the world famous Snake River Farms Wagyu Hangar steak. Its the UFM of Steaks ; )

Phill Steele has scUM in the playoff , Nebraska in the Rose and TOSU Playing FSU in the citrus bowl. While I would love to beat the snot out of any ACC team right now, I would venture to say no one here would consider the Citrus bowl win a successful “enough” season. If I were to get a dream scenario I would take Texas in the first round playoff followed by a blowout win over Clemson for the Natty. Alabama has it’s worse season ever with 4 losses and Saban retires to take the NCAA commissioner in waiting spot. Dabo takes the Alabama job and Clemson falls back into irrelevancy.

I dont even know why I’m arguing this, if they lose to Cincy they aren’t good enough to contend for a national championship, Cincy being 10-2 is great for them but they play no one in conference except UCF who they lose to so, not sure why we are even discussing a 1 loss Ohio st team, and that loss coming by way of Cincy, it’s not even a  feasible scenario with a big ten schedule looming

Comment 28 Jun 2019

I was un aware this side of the story , like I said if what ZS said was true then Gibson got a raw deal, if it’s more to this story that’s just a shitty thing to do and he should have been punished. And I can reason with the fact that the University probably would just want to wash their hands of the situation. Unfortunately that does nothing to help a kid who made a dumb mistake who comes from a shitty area, who will probably never get to showcase his god given talents. I say that’s a loss for everyone.

Comment 28 Jun 2019

He took a picture of a girl who was showing strong interest in him, and she had all her clothes on?Wtf ppl gotta get off their high horse man. If this story is true then OSU fucked Gibson and then the NCAA fucked him at UC .

The title of the Thread is Utilizing the young guns, and I asked if they will so that's what I'm arguing. The hype that I hear surrounding Crowley is he was the best player in Florida and every game they played he was the best player on the Field. I know Jacksonville area isn't South Florida but its still has a handful of schools ranked in the Florida top 25, so If everyone is saying he's the truth then I'm of the opinion we see him play. Stop talking about what I don't know? I made the Thread and you are commenting so if you don't like my opinion argue against it or don't post man, I don't know what to tell you

Comment 28 Jun 2019

Great input, In your opinion is there any income Freshmen that you might see fitting the early and often mold? Also are there any that you see in previous years that you feel should probably have seen the field more? Obviously its mostly speculation because we don't see what the coaches see, but just as an opinion I'd be curious to hear what you think?

Comment 28 Jun 2019

my point is we underutilized Olave last year, who else did we do that to? That situation is different like you say, bc while I believe he will be better then all those guys listed, those guys played well for TOSU in 2018 see record books for Haskins. The Point I'm making is not that if Garret Wilson is showing to be just as good as Victor or Mack then he should start.

Comment 28 Jun 2019

I'd have Olave stealing reps from Victor and Mack and Johnnie, not saying these guys need to start but get them in the game

EDIT: assuming he could play X and Z
