Oh, I don't root for them or like them, but recognize a competent villain is funner to beat than what UM has become of late.

I lived through the 70s on. A rivalry is more enjoyable, more exciting when the rival is actually a rival. Wins mean more when OSU beats a competent UM. Ten year war games were huge. Lately there has been far less upside in beating UM.

Auburn destroying the team OSU lost to and the gators holding UM to the teens is not a great look for OSU/B10. Would prefer UM to get its act together somewhat. If they had at least I would not have to suffer ND in the playoffs.

What DJ thought throughout this season of discovery, I had pretty much the same ones. Urban was good for the program but his faults proved to be his undoing and it was time to move on.

Not a bad take, but a more open eyed one.

letsgotribe has ok articles and good discussion of those. Burning river baseball has good pieces on the farm.Indiansbaseballinsider has been around for a long time but have moved around a lot. I have not looked at it since it moved to 247 but in the past it has had good coverage of prospects and some discussion.

They do that every ten years. I believe, correct me if wrong, T&C and Eastland were the first of their kind. Can't believe they are still around (of sorts) when their competitors and replacements are gone.

T&C once had a nice Zettlers, big bear, the Union (later lazarus) the limited and a Madisons, a music store and the best toy store on the east side. Now it has a dollar general and if that is too pricey for you a dollar tree right next to it.

Everyone is complaining but I thought watching that Joe would have been great in some Tressel ball. It has not been that long since OSU would get a lead and then run the clock out.  I actually kind of enjoyed watching some power running, i formation ball.

Thanks. Pearson might well have been the most talented to wear 29 but found himself behind George and then split time with Wiley as a senior.  The recognition of Inwood Smith's play though removes any doubts that time presents. Tough choice.
