Saw the Dead Boys at a club here in CBus called Cafe RnR in 78-9. They came on after the normal local rock show. Changed my life. Loved the thought you didn't need to know anything to make music.
Sencire needs to get his handles tight and become a point he would be dripping with offers if he did. I think he should have had the offer before Hardman at the SG, plus Malaki might have committed by now if so. That's just my opinion.
I sure would like to know what kind of violation it possibly was because as soon as he announced he was transferring his phone was ringing off the hook from coaches. Said violation also would not just mysteriously go away and not follow him to Marquette. The kid wanted to start and play his open floor game like he was in high school and Holtmann was not going to have that along with all the turnovers he was committing. Add to that his mental problems that took him out and it is what it is. Not a good fit for Holtmann's style of coaching. Let him go play where he can get what he can and feel comfortable. He will play the same type of game that Markus Bowman, who just graduated, did at Marquette and can learn as he plays in a system similar to what he is used to.
Don't forget Cornell Dupree. Both he and Gale were great guitarist for that band.

Kaleb is watching what is going on with the virus. He will not declare until he is certain not to have to wait a extra year to play ball. In other words 98% gone. No virus and he would have announced already.
Weak spot in the fact that he will be undersized against just about every other B10 team and the teams with good bigs are going to go right at him. Not that he cant play good defense.
If for some reason Kaleb leaves and coach stands pat then he will have no choice but to man the post by committee. That means Key, Liddell and Diallo would have to get 8-10 minutes each. Young would have to be spelled often as he would be the weak spot of the defense most nights. You would also be taking 2 guys away from their best position and biggest strength for the team. Lets hope Kaleb stays but I doubt it. If he goes then portal a big.
I know people want to compare college football recruiting to basketball but they are totally different. Basketball is full of middlemen and family involvement. That's not even counting the shoe companies that vie for these kids in the summer. Coaching is coaching but like Urban has pointed out recruiting is the lifeblood. The kids Penny has got commitments from are not only from the area but he has also coached them high school and on his AAU summer league teams. He has been involved in AAU for many years running and coaching Bluff City and Team Penny. His Memphis East High School teams have won a couple state championships also. He is deeply involved in that stage of bball players. He is light years ahead of Howard when it comes to being able to recruit.
Read the book by Ed Martin's son who was the one closest to the 5 back then and spent years in jail because he didn't want to squeel on his pop. He flat out says they all got cash. Half the team got walking around money. Rose and Weber got bank.
Kaleb is a very good college player and can be a good pro overseas. He doesn't have the athleticism for the modern NBA even with slimming down. He will need to get in better shape even for overseas unless he wants to play second division for not great pay. If he gets in better shape and commits to it he can play in the first division leagues and make it a nice career.
Real rules with real penalties. College basketball and football will be just as popular and profitable with a little more parity and without the stink.
Walker, Mo, Wesson,Young if another big comes aboard, Wesson. If no other big then one of Liddell or Gaff could work their way in with Young being the back up. The lineup that gets most minutes will fluctuate depending on who is hot and I can see a combination of many guys. I also think Walker and Carton will be out there together. Also, Mo is not 6'5. 6'3 tops.
Boals recruited Ben Roderick when he was coaching at Stonybrook. Its only natural he would going to OU. Dom Penn is a tough one. I think if he wants to come to OSU he can and will. I'm not sure Holtmann will pull his offer. I do think he will be recruited over and not get much run his first couple of years. His handles is what will be his calling card. A couple years of growth at the college level and he can be a valuable piece. Meechie Johnson the following year is a no brainer and will be the guy. Kalen is a very intriguing prospect. Saw him at the Hoop and he is most certainly a wing. His brother played post for their team. He will put on some weight just like his bro and be a tough kid.
FuturoPaco, Jakob Skott, Psichomagia and pretty much all of the bands on the El Paraiso label. Jr Thomas and the Volcano's, Ikebe Shakedown, Durand Jones and the Indications on Colemine Records. Both of these labels have food for the masses.
Not talented enough to overcome bad games by Wesson and CJ. End of story.
Very good player and a position of need. OSU vs Louisville for him.
The OSU players who have commented on him from the time he became a ESPN shill to now all have said the same things about him. It isn't just a fan drum beat. Its not that he is a fake Buckeye it is he is a fake human. A ton of skeletons and excuses to cover them.
No Picnic Table or Zippity Zam?? Straight Chicago? Man!
Looks as if they left ours for the DC comic artist. Looks straight out of a Richie Rich instead of something cool like The Fantastic Four.
Someone needs to ask Titus if his buddy Oden shouldn't have been hired by Matta and Holtmann to work with the team. You know to give people second chances???
