I know people want to compare college football recruiting to basketball but they are totally different. Basketball is full of middlemen and family involvement. That's not even counting the shoe companies that vie for these kids in the summer. Coaching is coaching but like Urban has pointed out recruiting is the lifeblood. The kids Penny has got commitments from are not only from the area but he has also coached them high school and on his AAU summer league teams. He has been involved in AAU for many years  running and coaching Bluff City and Team Penny. His Memphis East High School teams have won a couple state championships also. He is deeply involved in that stage of bball players. He is light years ahead of Howard when it comes to being able to recruit.

Kaleb is a very good college player and can be a good pro overseas. He doesn't have the athleticism for the modern NBA even with slimming down. He will need to get in better shape even for overseas unless he wants to play second division for not great pay. If he gets in better shape and commits to it he can play in the first division leagues and make it a nice career.

Walker, Mo, Wesson,Young if another big comes aboard, Wesson. If no other big then one of Liddell or Gaff could work their way in with Young being the back up. The lineup that gets most minutes will fluctuate depending on who is hot and I can see a combination of many guys. I also think Walker and Carton will be out there together. Also, Mo is not 6'5. 6'3 tops.

Boals recruited Ben Roderick when he was coaching at Stonybrook. Its only natural he would going to OU. Dom Penn is a tough one. I think if he wants to come to OSU he can and will. I'm not sure Holtmann will pull his offer. I do think he will be recruited over and not get much run his first couple of years. His handles is what will be his calling card. A couple years of growth at the college level and he can be a valuable piece. Meechie Johnson the following year is a no brainer and will be the guy. Kalen is a very intriguing prospect. Saw him at the Hoop and he is most certainly a wing. His brother played post for their team. He will put on some weight just like his bro and be a tough kid.

FuturoPaco, Jakob Skott, Psichomagia and pretty much all of the bands on the El Paraiso label. Jr Thomas and the Volcano's, Ikebe Shakedown, Durand Jones and the Indications on Colemine Records. Both of these labels have food for the masses.

The OSU players who have commented on him from the time he became a ESPN shill to now all have said the same things about him. It isn't just a fan drum beat. Its not that he is a fake Buckeye it is he is a fake human. A ton of skeletons and excuses to cover them.

He has coached 11 seasons and won his division 5 times. 100-85 overall. SuperBowl Champ. If you wanted to count the Raiders team wins in 2002 you could because it was basically his team from top to bottom. The idiot Callahan was to dumb to change anything and was the reason the Raiders got smoked in the SuperBowl. He dealt with the dismantling of that Tampa Bay team that was in cap hell that blemished his overall record and made it seem to be average but he is a very good coach and the reason he is desirable. He will have the Raiders back with just demanding fundamentals and discipline very soon.

I have been over there many times and it goes... if its close or they are winning then its loud. They have played us tough over there the last few times. There have been others that the stadium goes quite at halftime. The 12' game ect... There have been several the last ten years or so that it wasn't even full for the OSU game with them knowing they were going to get stomped the kids stayed home. If you add in the facilities the place is mediocre for its atmosphere unless they are having a decent season. I have yet to go to AA or the Shoe and the stadium not rocking for the Game if the teams are having bad seasons.

When you are late and or not showing up to off season workouts and then when you do you lollygag around you should expect to be criticized by not only dedicated teammates but the strength staff. He was told to get out of the room. He of course played the prima donna thinking they would come to him. That didn't happen and its the best thing for this team. He has been this way since his sophomore year in high school and hasn't grown up yet. Matta and the program do not have the time or the space to have these kind of kids in the program.

Calipari's recruiting has everything to do with "World Wide Wes". From way back at UMass all the way up to now. These kids want to be wined and dined and have the best of everything. Calipari's success now is because of the work Wes did for him. He has no reason or need to cheat now, its all been done.
