Kudos to all who persevered and didn't give up. From the players like Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Nebraska, Iowa, all the Buckeyes and coaches, the parents (great job Randy Wade) and all who had a hand in this. Even President Trump who Barry Alvarez admitted had a fair amount of influence to make this happen. I hope Shaun Wade comes back, I was really looking forward to watching him play more than any other.

I'll be the first to admit that there is no way that I will ever see the things that the coaching staff see during the game. They are definitely making game adjustments much quicker than they did last year. It seems to me that when you get a really aggressive defense like MSU that the offense would take advantage by setting up screen passes and little 5 yard out patterns to the tight end to keep them honest. I would say on one of MSU plays to the tight end, Werner had coverage and when he made contact, he pushed off creating separation for the tight end resulting in an easy pitch and catch. Not a knock on Werner. Just an observation.

I'd be surprised if the tight end isn't a big part of the offense this year. Not because of the talent at the position but because of who doesn't play the position and that would be Justin Fields. Fields still has a lot to learn and besides the running back, the tight end is the best escape route for a quarterback (especially a running quarterback) when he gets in trouble.

This may have already been talked about on here but I tend to think Kyler Murray would not have even finished 3rd in the Heisman voting had he played in the Big Ten or the SEC where teams actually play defense. I think the Big 12 numbers tend to get inflated in that conference not to say that Murray isn't a very good athlete which he is and he may end up being a very good pro. And Haskins didn't go to OHIO STATE to play track. Good Luck to both of them.

I don't even want to read all these comments. Joe Burrow is the most college ready quarterback on the team. He should have been named the starter. They better hope Haskins stays healthy and is able to play more consistent than he has now given the chance. Good luck to Joe. I hope he wins the Heisman. Go BUCKS!

Like many on here, I don't agree with Ward or any player sitting out BUT, Looking how things went he did the Buckeyes a huge favor for the future, Sheffield, who scared me a lot this year, I feel, really stepped up his game. Mentally he knew he had to be there which I really believe had a lot to do with the job he did. In my opinion this was his best game by far and it had to be. Another plus to Ward sitting out is the playing time and experience Okudah got playing in this game. He looked like a freshman out there but played like the blue chip frosh that he is. This was big for him for the future. I would have liked to have watched Ward play one last time for the Bucks. He is one of my favorite players to watch. Good luck to him in his future. I hope he kicks it in the NFL. Again, He did the future of this team a favor.Great Win. Go Bucks!!!!!!!!!!

This game will be decided by the play of our DB's. I have total confidence in the other parts of this team. DB play has really improved as the year has gone on. Sheffield is still the weak link. He needs to pick up his game to the God given talent he has been blessed with. AND hopefully the coaching staff does a better job than what they did at Iowa. By the way, how in the world does the crooked SEC have teams playing in all 5 New Years Day games?

With DE looking like a need for next year I would strongly consider putting Rashod Berry back at that position. The guy is a freak. Watching him play TE this year when he got the opportunity made me want to see him putting a hurt on opposing quarterbacks. His athleticism makes him look unstoppable. The dude is a load.

After reading the comments on the rankings coming up this week, the committee will and should be ranking based on the teams play as of today not the beginning of the season. If that was the case then Oklahoma would be ranked ahead of Ohio State in the AP and the Coaches Poll but they are not. All this based on some of the previous comments. The biggest difference between this years Buckeye team as compared to last year is that they are improving each and every week as compared to last year where they were stagnant. Never improved from week one. Surpisingly they won enough to get the votes. With their play as of today minus kickoff coverage, they are without  a doubt a top 4 team in the country. Oklahoma is really glad the don't have to play them again.
