I agree with containing clifford. We also can give him too much time in the pocket. If they try running it to the outside I don't think they'll have much success since our defense is crazy fast. I think we'll be able to stop hamler but their TE will be tough to stop.
I've also heard a lot of Sevyn Banks and Josh Proctor. Amir Riep looks like he could be good too.
As long as we still have Larry Johnson, I don't think DE and DT should be very concerning.
I think Ohio State is by far the better team, but if the weather ends up being crappy it might not be that big of a blowout. Our biggest threat to them is Fields throwing the ball since penn state's passing defense is pretty average. It will be hard to throw the ball in awful weather. Hopefully we can get the run game going. With that being said Ohio State is the much better team so...
I don't think this game will be down to the wire like the last 2 years. Penn State's resume looks awful compared to tOSU's. Penn State's 3 best wins are against Iowa, TTUN, and Indiana with a combined score of 79-60. tOSU's 3 bets wins are against Wiscy, Cincinnati, and Indiana with a combined score of 131-17. If we look at common opponents Indiana, Maryland, and Sparty. Penn State's combined score is 121-34 while Ohio State's is 158-34.
I think tOSU covers the spread. 45-17
tOSU wins 56-3. I can't wait to see that no. 1 by our name on the scoreboard.
This doesn't surprise me at all. This Ohio State team is legit an NFL team. We're the clear #1 and hopefully we'll stay there for the rest of the season.
Honestly my vote is the entire team. This team is for real. We have a heisman contender at quarterback, a top 3 running back, a great WR core, a powerful and disciplined OL. We also have THE best D-Line in the country which includes the best defender in the country, our linebackers are silencing the haters, and we are still DBU.
I don't understand why Haskins can't run the ball anymore. Remember the game against Michigan last year? And that throw to Mack? In that throw he had to scramble outside of the pocket and make the throw on the run. In that same drive he had a 21 yard rush to the 2 yard line that set up a touchdown later. He was a mobile QB. How come he can't do that anymore.
