My understanding was they never took underclassman until Herschel Walker went to the USFL after 3 years. The NFL had to adjust.

If a new pro football league wants to get a jump on the NFL, the best bet is to target high school players and sign them to 4 year contracts.

I'm certainly in favor of the 8 team playoff, but not so sure about an automatic qualifier for group of 5. Its cute and all when one of these teams makes a game out of, or even beats a 3rd of 4th place P5 team (one that probably doesn't give a shit about being there). It a different story to have them play the number one overall seed in what would amount to a September cupcake game disguised as a playoff game, giving the #1 seed a first round bye.

11) Campus Location. I'm sure it’s lovely, but as a fan of the Great Lakes, I hate any business on the shores of any or our beautiful lakes. Fuck Airports and steel!!! And that goes for college campuses too.

Knowing what we know know, it didn't seem like Urbs sold this team very hard when he was asked to do so after the BIGCG. Remember how hard he pushed UF in '06? it sounds like, perhaps he wanted the Rose Bowl bid and to end his career in that game. A winnable game.

Also, adding to conspiratorial charges, ESPN\ABC didn't need tOSU in the CFP to get viewers. They already have ND to add to the normal viewership. Putting tOSU in the Rose Bowl gives that game may more watchers than say Washington vs NW or even UM. Now that its Urbs last game can you imagine how many will watch? Just MHO

and they have already started.

TCU mistakes (and a questionable call) gifted OSU 2 defensive TDs, and a botched long snap (with stupidity from TCU’s punter to not send it through the back of the endzone and take a safety) gifted OSU another.
That’s 19 points of margin that were 100% the result of mental errors from TCU and an officiating gift. In a 12 point game.
Ohio State didn’t beat TCU. Ohio State happened to be present while TCU beat themselves.

which questionable call?
the phantom PI when the ball was about 13 feet over the OSU WR’s head that kept a drive alive? that one?

The first defensive TD
OSU recovered a TCU fumble in the end zone for a TD, but before that, had a player touching the ball with a foot out of bounds. Indisputably should have been a safety, not a TD.

i saw that on a later highlight bc i tuned in late. yeah, that was a crap call.

OSU is literally the only team I know that consistently benefits from stuff like that

NCAA alledges #OleMiss staffer connected a recruit to 2 boosters who paid the kid $13,000-$15,600 (AND that player didn't even sign with OM)

A bag man is worthless if you don't back him up with muscle. Do you think Vito Corleone would have let this kid walk after handing out a handsome amount of cash?  That recruits signature or or his brains would have been on that LOI.

That tweet from Baker Mayfield has me looking forward to the banter between tOSU fans OU fans. I was wondering if there is a fan site in similar nature of 11W for Sooner fans? Something like the "The Key Play". I have found with a quick search but they don't seem to have anything the quality of 11W. Suggestions.

i agree with this assessment. One loss conference champ is in over a one loss non champion. There are 4 available spots, and right now the B1G has one as do the ACC and Big XII. What we don't know yet is will a 2 loss Conference champ jump a one loss Buckeyes. i think if FLA and USC win we get the nod. That's the only way I see it. the other thing is does a one loss Iowa or Clemson get in with the same scenario of FLA and USC wins. So really we need Iowa and Clemson to win too just to make things as clear as possible.

when i was 15 i started playing guitar because of Metallica....Jimmy Page kept me playing. once i started to get into guitar and other styles of music Zeppelin was my go to band.

Elvis has always been a guilty pleasure of mine and the Elvis medley at the end of the "whole lot of Love" version from "The Song Remains the Same" concert is an all time classic. When found out Page and Plant were huge Elvis fans i no longer hid my love of the King.
