And not to go off topic but I think Ohio State needs to write a blank check to Pittman and say you Fill in the amount for whatever it takes to get you to come here.  I fully believe that if Day was not invoked in Paris’s recruitment he would already be decommited. We need a O line coach who actually recruits. The head coach can’t recruit every single offensive lineman going forward. It seems that every big oline recruit we’ve had it was the head coach who had to personally recruit them. Stud has only recruited 3*s successfully and sometimes failed doing that (see nick Samac and jd duplain)

Sounds like it. Sounds like Pittman is keeping things interesting. Also to note he said he loves the players at Ohio State. I noted above that he loved the class but it sounds like he’s talking about the actually players that are currently enrolled.

Wiltfong spoke to him there:

Things to note:

-Relationship with Day is great

-Loves the kids In OSU’s class

-Could see himself at Georgia. This due mainly to Pittman. Pittman is doing a great job recruiting him

-He’s excited to get to LSU next weekend.

I think the question would be, if LSU loses 4-5 games this year. Do they fire Orgeron. Does he want to still go there during a reboot? I think we’re playing this long term and hope that should LSU flop this year that we’re in the drivers seat. By the way I don’t think it’s out of the question to see LSU lose 5 games this year with that schedule.

While I don’t think OSU turns Rosemy away. I do think Rosemy is going to look at our WR room and see Garrett Wilson from 19 and the three studs we have ( I’m counting Fleming) and say Georgia depth chart looks a lot more favorable to get on the field.

If fields is out for a lengthy time I agree Gunner is not gonna win us a Title. However, if Fields is out 2-3 weeks this kid can get it done. Kenny G got it done for a few weeks until Braxton was able to come back and I think Gunner can do the same. But I agree if fields it out half the season or more we will not win the title.

For anyone that is wondering BK is saying that he is hearing from a really trusted source that nothing has changed in Paris Johnson’s recruitment and he is still committed to the good guys.

Wiltfong saying he is hearing from those close to Paris Johnson that they like the chances he commits to Georgia.

I get what he’s saying but I don’t see any other option  at this point with how crazy the transfer portal is going. Seriously does someone have any other solution than offering kids with Bowling Green and Miami of Ohio offers who know their role is to be a career backup. If you only recruit 4-5*s well have one 5* starter every year with no backups.

Comment 18 Apr 2019

What else can you do at this point? If you dont there transferring. We’ll be playing every year with one good QB and no backup who is one injury away from a walk on. This is college football now

Comment 18 Apr 2019

We need to start recruiting two-three star QBs and from the get go we need to tell them we are planning on you being a career backup. If someone gets injured you will play. You will have the chance to be a part of a national championship team and will get a great education. That’s it.

At this point. We almost have to recruit one 4-5* in every class and ever 2-3 years take a 2-3* who knows his role is to backup for 5 years. Every single 4-5* kid that is not starting is transferring this is crazy.

BK gives the following players the following %s to committing to OSU in today’s ask Kurelic section:

Kendall Milton: 50%

Bijan Robinson: 30%

Fleming: 50%

Jarrett: 55%

Rosemy: 45%

Paris Johnson: 80%

Darrion Henry: 80%

Mekhail Sherman: 50%

Henry Gray: 65%

Ringo: 35%

Elias Ricks: 35%

Clark Philips: 50%

Lathan Ransom: 45%

Also said Paris Johnson will visit Georgia, LSU and Ohio State on officials in the next two months and will make a decision in June or July as to what he is going to do.

Link to BKs thoughts on Luke Hill: https://247sports.com/college/ohio-state/LongFormArticle/2020-and-2021-Ohio-State-Buckeyes-spring-game-visitors-most-likely-to-commit-to-Ohio-State-Buckeyes-131147521/

BG’s comments on Henry Gray came during the Bucknuts 5 podcast yesterday if anyone cares to listen.

Comment 13 Apr 2019

BG reported earlier in the week that if we want Henry Gray we will get him. BK reporting today that if he want Luke Hill he’s in this class. If the staff is holding out on these kids we must have some pretty high rated commits we are waiting on. If that’s the case our staff must feel really good about Kelee Ringo and Clark Philips. With last years class of not having any Cornerbacks, we need 4-5 corners this year.

Comment 12 Apr 2019

Honestly this kid could not have handled this situation better. And I’m not just saying that because he committed to the good guys. As soon as Urban retired he didn’t play games was up front and honest with the staff that he would be looking around and he decommitted. He evaluated all of his options and confirmed Ohio State was still the best option. As soon as he knew, he recommitted and is already recruiting Julian Fleming and others to get back in this class. I only wish all recruits handled their business like this kid.

Comment 12 Apr 2019

Agreed. I would have much rather him handle it the way Lejond (who will be committing back to us in about 3 hrs) has than the shenanigans he’s pulling now.

Comment 10 Apr 2019

I think the odds are pretty high. However, I think the odds are low that we will hear about it. The way these recruits commit nowadays is that they notify the staff they are committed and then go back home, create a commitment video and post it on Twitter a week later.
