Lol. I just saw that. Seemed like something legit though because he has no problem going against what most of the “insiders” are saying if he feels differently.
Yikes. Ellis bucking the trend. Predicting Phillips to stay with the good guys and Stroud to Georgia. Both choices are against what most are saying. If you get these picks right that would be quite the predictions
Awesome. Thanks for the update.
Ya. If anyone wants to flip their CB it has to be to Utah. Which I can’t imagine it being anyone else at this point.
From everything I am reading I think Phillips is a coin flip. Would not shock me if he signed with OSU or Utah. BK is the only that says he thinks he won’t be a buckeye. But BK also has not put a CB in for Utah which to me is telling. Other sources say we still lead. So this one is not over but it appears to be trending away from the buckeyes. Hopefully Day can pull off a miracle.
I honestly think Hafley is making a mistake. Trying to take my buckeye blinders off but I really feel that Hafley taking the BC job is beneath him. I think if he was patient he could potential get a top tier job in the next year or two. Ryan Day turned down a better job than BC and look at him now. I think had Hafley been patient he potentially could have gotten the ND job or something similar in the next year or so. However, if we get Ash maybe it’s best for all parties. Ash will be coming in for at least 2-3 years and offer us some stability. If Hafley came back everyone knows he’s leaving the next year for a big time gig and they would be tough to recruit when all the coaches at other schools are telling the kids that your coach is leaving.
Sam Pittman to Arkansas. Any Georgia oline recruits we can flip
DC position. Last year they only offered the DB coach position
I agree with you. However I believe Charlie and Day worked together at Florida when he wS a GA under Meyer there. I would assume Day has kept in contact with him.
That’s actually not a bad move. The only downside is the waste of a position coach on him.
Bad move IMO. Bijan is not worth the lack of development QBs will receive with him as QB coach.
I disagree. Even if they keep recruits this year. Beck will not develop their QBs and long term they suffer. Just as we did when he was out Off coordinator/QB coach
Yep. I’m reading he is being reassigned
I don’t want Drayton. I think a name like DeMarco Murray who has the proven NFL track record would be an interesting hire.
AE if comfort, relationships and proximity to home is important why not University if Arizona. It’s in his back yard and I thought I read that he was extremely close with DeMarco Murray. Doesn’t look like any one we’ll be leaving Arizona. Seems like if those are all are important to him Arizona would be the choice.
Not too diminish the running back position but just look at what order in the draft wide receivers get drafted as opposed to running back. NFL teams consistently take wide receivers over top running backs. This haul is the equivalent of getting three first round draft picks and taking three wide receivers. And keep in mind we have the #1 tackle in this class as well. The #1 tackle almost always goes top 5. There is usually 1 running back if any drafted in the entire first round. So while I do appreciate 247, if their rankings are supposed to be symbolic of where these kids will get drafted it is not accurate. 247 drastically over values the RB position and puts 5 running backs in the top 32. That will not happen in a draft. THe positions that go in the first round are QBs, WR, OT, DE, CB. (Also we have the #2 pro style qb if we get stroud). That being said ya I think we are doing just fine.
That’s some Tim Tebow Shit right there. Gee doing the Lords work. What a great kid.
Wow. If LSU gets Bijan that would be in sane considering it looks like they are getting Evans. The rich get richer.
Ya at this point there is no difference in the coaching or quality of program between University of Texas and University of Arizona. So if the kid doesn’t care about winning, he should just go to University of Arizona.
If he stays closer to home it’s looking like Ga Tech. Both bama and Georgia have bigger fish they are chasing.
We need to root for Zach Evans to sign with Bama. If that happens they won’t take Gibbs. Georgia has 2-3 backs before Gibbs. So if Evans goes to bama it’ll be between us and Ga Tech and I like our chances against them.
Hate to even ask this but any chance we get hit with Lack of institutional control for this?
I get it’s all about relationships however if we can get him on campus and convince him to wait till February to sign we may have a chance. That two months we will be able to develop a relationship with him and we will most likely play Clemson in the playoffs. If we can beat Clemson maybe it’s enough to push him back to the good guys.
