No commitment date yet. Just said that the 29th is the latest he will commit.
From what I’ve read BG has him committing to us on July 30th with no concern. His concern wit Miami is after he has committed. We have used up our official and South Florida kids always find there way on to Miami’s campus. Miami has 5 months to pick away at him after he commits to OSU and there’s a decent chance we may not get him back on campus since any return to Columbus would be on his own dime.
O you were talking about Vernon Broughton. I thought you were talking about Lathan ransom.
On Twitter. Not seeing it
Basically says that during the Urban Meyer era they recruited Florida hard. However, there could be a change in Day’s recruiting philosophy. OSU could be ready for west coast movement. Hafley has a great reputation out there. Top schools out there aren’t on top right now and OSU is in a goodnight position to capitalize.
OSU reached out to Rakim initially but ultimately decided on Mookie?
BH today stared that Rakim Jarrett wants out of LSU and reached out to OSU prior to Mookie committing and OSU politely declined. If true, that is amazing to think that we turned down a 5* who wanted in. But I 100% agree with the decision.
Also said that Day is not going to be spending as much time recruiting Florida and is going to be recruiting California really hard
Georgia will most likely get Milton and Bisby that’s a comparable haul.
Also keep in mind that I think Day is taking a different approach than Urban as he is trying to regain the trust of some of the Ohio coaches. I think Day is not going to process kids out of the class that are already committed. Urban had no problem with kicking kids out of the class who did not develop in their senior year.
Not saying there won’t be decommitments. However, BK was asked this question today in the chat and he said that he really doesn’t think there will be any decommits out of the current commitments.
Boarding House today says Jarrett would not be a take even if he wanted in. Since they have 4 quality individuals already committed the staff wouldn’t want to deal with the headache that is Rakim Jarrett. Looks like we are done at WR.
No one. Says a decision is coming soon.
Vernon Broughton announces on Twitter that a commitment is coming soon
My prediction for July dates and commits.
July 4: Fryar
July 5: Cam Martinez
July 8: Mookie
July 15: Ransom
July 19: Kourt Williams
July 26: Bijan Robinson
Mookie is expected to commit before his senior year. So he would commit most likely in July. Rakim is committing at the end of they year
So which receiver do you cut to make room for him? That’s a bad precedent. And if we have a 25 man max there is absolutely no room for 6 receivers.
4 Ohio State
i think well be neck neck and neck with Georgia though
Honestly if we have a hard cap of 25 like AE is suggesting and Mookie commits, I think you have to say no to Jarrett. They are to similar. And you don’t kick a kid out of a class for being loyal and committing early. I just don’t see how we can make a way for a 6th wife receiver. Now if there is no 25 hard cap. Then I say they sign him.
Boom. Cody Simon commits to buckeyes per Brian Dohn
would be hilarious to see Rakim Jarrett, Justin Rogers and Zach Evans on the same team. Talk about a lot of personalities in one room. Geez.
Will there be any commits before Henry’s this Saturday?
Time to circle back to Lachey.
Kyle Lamb also says he will be making a future cast pick for Bijan to OSU
I totally get that. He’s an amazing WR, but with Fleming, Scott, Smith Njigba and most likely Mookie cooper who all seem to be drama free, do we really need the headache?
