N. Ohio kid who knew from birth that he loved the Buckeyes (the chocolate and peanut butter type and the sports teams) over the rabies-infested Wolverines. Schooled at Miami of Ohio but spent football weekends in Columbus on High Street. Have loved every minute of the 26+ years of service I have given to the Air Force and this great nation.

  • SPORTS MOMENT: Pitched a no-hitter in HS and lost 1-0 via a walk (Coach always said a walk to start the inning will kill you) and two errors.
  • COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER: Chris Spielman by a landslide
  • NFL TEAM: Browns...but fading fast
  • NHL TEAM: Flyers
  • NBA TEAM: Cavs
  • MLB TEAM: A tie -- Reds/Indians
  • SOCCER TEAM: I can't name two teams

Good article Kyle.

I dislike even talking about TTUN but think Beilein is undervalued as a coach and recruiter.  What keeps them playing at such a high level is a good group of core players like Stauskas, Robinson, and Levert.  Most importantly they can shoot the rock from beyond the arc and pull the defense away from the basket, opening up penetration and easy lay-ups.

The B1G is the best conference once again my friends.

Press them early and test their guards ball handling and decision making ability and weave in a change of defense occasionally (2-3/matching Zone).  We have to rebound effectively too.

Offensively we need to take the open shot when it is there.  All too often we try to penetrate then dish to the wings but teams have been successful at cutting off the passing lanes.  Maybe we need to do more shooting and crash the offensive glass instead.

Go Bucks!

It takes moral courage to revisit a post where your prediction was off by a country mile.   UGH!   I  suck and I also didn't get to wear my goofy victory smile to bed.  I'm glad it is only mid-January and not mid-March.

Thanks for the well done preview!

I think the Bucks will be frothing at the mouth for a chance to put last weeks losses behind them.  A victory is no guarantee though, especially on the road and facing a Gopher team laden with experience.  Play 40 minutes with energy, protect the rock, and get off screens to guard the 3-pt line and I predict I will be going to bed with a smile on my face.
