OK I did a search on H.S. track times and Drew doesn't appear anywhere for 2019 season fastest times. The list stopped at 10.38 so I think it is safe to say that was probably hand timed somewhere. He did not make the Texas state HS track finals either. Still the kids sounds fast even it that was a hand time.
You cannot coach speed. If he legit ran a 10.19, that is world class speed, so why haven't we offered yet?
Vandy was every bit as good as I expected. OSU was on a roll and the HOT team, but now they are in a big hole - winning the first game in the regionals is HUGE.
The Fairfield H.S. kid JuTahn McClain is the real deal - he had speed and power in a tough D1 league. I don't know if he ends up playing running back at Ohio State, but he is an amazing athlete.
It is interesting that they interviewed Jason Krause the head coach of Fairfield H.S. because one of the top running backs in the country is a Junior there now and will be a Senior in the 2019-20 season. JuTahn McClain has offers from OSU, ND, Michigan, Penn State, Cincinnati, and others. He is classy kid, who is also an amazing sprinter in the 100 and 200.
Gold Star Chili is tops!
They are built much better for the tournament than head to head. They'll get it going.
