They will likely end up 9-3. They have a chance to be 10-2, but winning at Kinnick will be very tough. Great coaching job by Fleck. I guess that will likely seal his COY award.
Cooper said he believes Ohio State's defense has still only scratched the surface of how good it can be this year.
I believe he is correct. This defense will just get nastier as the season continues.
This will be the game of the day and by mid-afternoon Buckeye Nation will be relaxing and celebrating a huge win.
I would say Coach Day because I would like to get to know Ohio State's coach better.
But Ed Orgeron would be a great time too. First, the food would be amazing. Second, the conversation would be lively and entertaining.
Northwestern has held all of its opponents to 365 yards or fewer, and has not allowed more than 31 points in any game.
These could be first half stats Friday night.
I think Burrow cements his place as the Heisman leader by shredding Florida on Saturday.
Mattison and Washington are two home run hires for Day. I hope they are around for many years.
I still don't like the Friday night game. Hopefully this will be the one and only ever regular season Friday night game. That said, NW is not very daunting, which is a bit scary. I do believe that Day will have the Buckeyes ready and they will deliver a dominant beatdown. Wisconsin is going to be an epic battle, but I believe Ohio State will show superior with athleticism and talent. PSU is very good and improving. That will be another huge test and a very competitive game. Ohio State is better and the Shoe will be rocking and breaking Richter scale records. TTUN is a paper tiger and the Buckeyes will handle them in a dominant manner.
Fields is having an incredible season, and JK is second in yards rushing in the nation averaging 7.1 ypc. That is a very potent offense.
When Ohio State has 3rd and short I feel very confident in a conversion and even in a big play this year. The play calling is so good and the schemes are superior on both sides of the ball.
Browning deflected a pass that led to what was an interception for a touchdown from Jordan Fuller before it got called back due to a penalty.
The blindside block penalty was a terrible call. Browning was actually in front of Stewart and then hit him from the side. The ref likely saw only the last of the block and made an assumption.
So two top 5 offenses from each the SEC and BIG, along with OU. That is definitely different than history would suggest.
MSU came out full adrenaline and ready to fight. Ohio State's superior talent and conditioning won the day. Tough win with great toughness.
