Just a non-alumni die hard buckeye fan who respects the college football game much more than any other sport. Lucky enough to out kick my coverage and marry a woman who shares my passion for college football.

The immediate knee jerk reaction is that Meyer’s offense is stacked and would kill it, but then you go back to the first couple of paragraphs and remember that Dantonio is the defensive coordinator. The MSU teams during the Meyer years always were tough battles. Haskins as the quarterback has the offense as one dimensional. I think this game is a lot closer and Tressel doesn’t air it out but has Wells pounding the middle to neutralize the Bosas.

I think Trsssel wins this with Tresselball and Mark Dantonio.

The concept is ridiculous, but kudos to 11w for finding creative content during the off-season. And I think David outlined that absurdity in the first paragraph. So if you think it’s stupid and doesn’t justify speculation, then don’t comment.

To truly name targets, though, would require a much greater knowledge of the 2-Deeps across the major programs. Who were the kids that didn’t show up on the OSU recruiting board but have played themselves into a real opportunity, but are stuck behind an upperclassmen.  Probably a handful of linebackers we can find, and another running back to replace Weber’s production.

The 2nd part of the question should be - who do we risk losing? There is a ton of talent in the D-line who are getting great tutelage from the best position coach in the country, but I am sure a few want to be the starting star somewhere.  That position would be poached quickly.

JOHNNY MANZIEL OWNS HATERZ ON TWITTER. My stance on Johnny Football is well known. But basically, I love him because he annoys the right people. - DJ on July 29, 2013

So, he finally annoyed the wrong people?

Just giving you crap, DJ!

11w needs to do the caption contest on Bo Pelini picture. There has to be a thousand different ways to go with this. My creativity is too limited by vulgarity to make something up.

ahhh, the good ole days.  simplistic offenses, smash mouth running.  I loved it.  great piece.

I also loved the horse and buggy.  I wish they would get rid of these new fangled horseless carriages and return to simpler times.

I think he forgot the sarcasm font in the first three paragraphs.

I can't claim to have listened to all announcers for all baseball teams or all announcers for all college football teams, but I feel like we Northern Ohioans are spoiled to hear the greatest football play-by-play man every fall and one of the greatest baseball announcers every spring.  I get so spoiled that during the innings where Tom gets a break, its almost impossible to listen.  And to hear Paul Keels' voice race with excitement, accentuated by 106,000 fans collective cheers gives me chills everytime.

Even Jim Donavan is a blast to listen to, even if the games are miserable.

Site looks great guys!  Much easier to read, much cleaner look. At 5:30 in the morning, I can now review it with without having to fumble for my glasses.

Sucks about the forum, there were a bunch of great posts. I look forward to watching those get rebuilt, and your continued excellence! Go Bucks!

Ditto. I have despised him for so long, to the point of rooting against the Seahawks. I now feel horrible for hating on a Buckeye, but feel dirty for thinking I should like him.

i am soooo conflicted.

Skullies like this are why 11W had a 71% jump in page views. The 11w team goes above and beyond everyday. Thanks.

As as for what Northwestern football is doing, major kudos to the young men who are leading that fight. That unnamed player's argument is the most solid and well articulated rationale. It speaks volumes about Northwestern and guys like Pat Fitzgerald. Class acts up on Chicago.

Across the lake to the east, however, is the exact opposite story...

It's great to have him as a Buckeye. He has proven himself with far lower talent - from his boss.

Fickell is in a no win situation. If the defense responds well next year, it will because of Ash.  If it fails, it will because Fickell is still on staff.

So there are more athletes that come from heavily populated areas than rural areas? Shocker.
