Ironically I attended that game. My dad was stationed there and I had the opportunity to attend home games, which helped develop my love for college football. Lots of tradition on the banks of the Hudson!
Loving this -- Stanford is one of those teams I despise for numerous reasons, not the least of which is their condescending arrogance ala scUM
Thanks man -- yes, the coffee machines there are awesome!
Thanks K -- hers was diagnosed early, stage 1 and prognosis is good, but still scary. I'm just thankful we have access to a place like the Stefanie Spielman center. We live over 2 hours east of Columbus but it's worth the trip there for the world class treatment she receives. Can't say enough about the facilities and especially the doctors, nurses, and staff there. Truly top notch!
My wife is currently fighting breast cancer. She has had 6 of 8 chemo treatments at the Stefanie Spielman Center, to be followed by surgery. Thanks Reverend
Couldn't agree more Hart -- we had staff season tickets for 31 years until my wife retired last year. We averaged 3-4 games a year all those years, the last few in C deck. Recent years seemed to get worse with "sit down" crowd, so much so even though I've had ticket opportunities this year I haven't gone. I'm 55 and like to go to the game, stand and leave without a voice. Could never understand why folks who prefer to sit quietly don't stay home where they belong.
Couldn't agree more Lane
Knew it was only a matter of time before someone took the old "be happy with what you have" crap. There's a huge difference between being thankful -vs- settling for mediocrity -or- committing to excellence. Being in sales for 25 years myself, that isn't how most of us are wired. Absolutely I have been blessed, and I am very thankful for what I have. However, that isn't the point. It's the thrill of the hunt, the art of closing the deal -- in short, the competition, and as is the case with most competitors, it's about winning. If everyone accepted the premise of average, we never would have put a man on the moon, among other things.
Go -- where ha from? St. Clairsville here
Nope. Standing in line last night to get into the game a mouthy Badger fan stopped just to berate the Buckeyes and he said "lotsa luck with a 3rd string QB" all the while laughing and saying we were overrated. Wish I could have talked to him after the game
34-24 Good Guys
I live in Saint ClIrsville and have a friend who knows Ferns dad -- according to him Penn State is leading, and Brendan was decked out the other night in PSU gear. Hope Urban can close with him!
"....Planted him like a cheap flower......"
Exactly the same way I see it -- don't believe they're playing a true bump and run as opposed to press. Looking forward to MSU game as I believe the offense is becoming much more balanced. Last year MSU loaded the box and dared us to beat them with the pass and we couldn't, effectively rendering our offense one dimensional. Don't think that happens this year. Go Bucks!
They are now
