Asking for a local student exploring J-schools... would Merill teach the Jstudents to write...

”...all of whom are Merill alumnus.”

...or...

”...all of whom are Merill alumni.”

;)

and I think being a too-likable opponent is a worthy enough reason to be hated.

Baldwin to Wilson.  First at OSU, but just the latest of a ton.  Been awhile since that highlight reel has been seen here in Austin.

I’ll be giving him a loud, standing ovation from my living room in austin.  I also think he did wonderfully.  Urban the man and father came out today.  I continue to believe that the people who know him well got to see him today.

I don’t buy this “he should have just done this weeks ago” stuff.  Each of his past situations were tough.  I can imagine the stress of those situations.  He explained the b1g day mistake well as well as the suspension announce day fatigue.  I totally get it and he couldn’t exactly do press conferences while suspended or while Day was trying to do his job.

i hope he is Our coach forever (and Day decides to be a lifetime OC albeit incredibly well paid). ;). I look at Urban’s “body of work” at OSU and - it is excellent!

Now if Columbus can just find a replacement for Spielman’s morning radio sidekick, we’d be good to go! /s

Regarding top of the pyramid ... how does our “football factory” rep help or hurt us?  I know how it helps our recruiting and I understand that the national champions had a ton of super Sophs on it, but that is hard to do every year.  With us putting so many players to the next level (good for the young men to get paid early), it sometimes feels like we are often one of the younger teams out there in terms of team-wide starting experience.  While we can win most games with younger more talented guys, I wonder how that helps or hurts against other top schools that keep experienced players home longer.  This is just gut feel, though.  Has anyone actually studied the team-wide average playing experience “age” of the top teams out there?

Well, on the good news for those that could not see the game ... I was a great game to watch after It was obvious that Baldwin was going to be OK.  Allen went up 21-0 in the 1st quarter.  LT gradually came back and led early in the 2nd half and into the 4Q, but finally fell 35-33.  It was fun watching Garrett Wilson make some amazing plays; Wilson, playing cornerback, going up against Theo Wease; and Grant Tsdale getting some late key runs.
