Saw the '68 championship team at age seven from "C" Deck as my introduction to Buckeye football. Grew up with a portrait of Woody over my bed. Five happiest days of my life...marriage, graduation, birth of my two children and the day Cooper got fired.

This reminds me more of 1975. Had to play UCLA a second time in the Rose Bowl for the natty. Pete Franklin (the original sports talk host) got on 1100 in Cleveland and said he was betting his First Communion money on Ohio State. Was one of many soul-crushing experiences following OSU last century.

Love hearing the O-H-I-O reverberating around the big house. My favorite holiday song.

We march the length of the field and score despite Fields looking like hot garbage. That's a good sign.

Feels like we should have a bigger lead. Key will be getting the first score of the second half so they can't get within one score with their usual goofy, improbable TD.

I wish him the best of luck. I do think he could use another year to mature - he often appeared to get rattled when other teams were successful at pressuring him (Penn State), but if he lands with the right team (NY Giants?) that wouldn't be rushed into playing him right away, he'll grow into the most successful OSU QB to ever play in the NFL.

I wonder if Bosa's announcement earlier in the week had something to do with the four hour hangover on display last night, or is indicative of a deeper problem with the team. Too many guys with their minds on something other than the game in front of them.

One thing to be said for Saban is that he created a culture in Alabama where no one can become comfortable while underperforming.

The play calling aside, the greatest indictment of Beck was the extraordinary regression of BOTH JT and Cardale. Next to bringing in another excellent recruiting class (and help on both sides of the line), finding an offensive coordinator who can better use the talent that's here and a QB coach who can get JT back to where he was last year should be our top priorities.
