Right, like if Fields were to win anything, it would be weird for UGA to talk it up as win for them. No one will ever remember where he played before LSU.

The record book won’t say “2019 Heisman - Joe Burrrow, LSU (former OSU back-up)”

The “mythology” is super weird.

I don’t see any other team claiming their transfer players successes like this and it’s really strange we do for some reason.

Honestly, I stopped caring the second he left the team.

I don’t root for professional players when they leave my favorite teams, I don’t really see this any differently.

I don't really expect a blowout, I think they've shown the last two years they can certainly hang, although i do think it's a tougher go for PSU this year.

I will say if they win by 35 as the OP suggests, this season will either be one of the most dominant of all time, or end up like Alabama last year or another version of 2006. It's just been too easy.

NFL players already do this for only getting a $10 mill contract instead of $15 mill.

I don't think it's far fetched that college players will sit out a season if they aren't earning anything. CY could have sat out after week #2 and still been a Top 5 pick, honestly would have been a reasonable decision, look at Nick Bosa.

No chance a one-loss OU, Oregon, OSU, or PSU get left out for them.

I think they get in if if there’s a few two-loss conference champions, or a one-loss Baylor, Clemson, or Minnesota winning a CCG then it’ll be interesting.

Some guy was asking about it three days ago. So the ball has likely been moving on this for a few days already. Hopefully the NCAA has at least started something to finalize whatever the decision is.

Well it gives probabilities, not certainties of anything happening. If it predicts something to happen with a 60% probability and it ends up actually happening 100% of the time, the model is wrong and is basically worthless. A prediction of 60% means it happens 60/100 and there's still many opportunities for it NOT to happen.

I'd say the numbers almost always make sense from that standpoint.

Their schedule up to this point is certainly overrated. Texas obviously has faltered, but Florida has never impressed me in any capacity. If they lose to Georgia, they’re really just the SEC version of TTUN.

I’ll fully buy LSU until they beat Bama, it’s been way too long since they’ve done it to give them any benefit of the doubt.

This game came at the right time because he is trending way up as Hurts, Tua, and Taylor are all trending down. It will get him in the discussion for a few weeks, he can stat pad against Rutgers and Maryland, and then he has to disrupt Penn St the way he did Wisconsin today.

I really think he has a chance, he has been all over Twitter today and absolutely is riding the hype train right now.

I think if he were to have a game like this against penn st or TTUN, he might actually have a chance to win. He has tremendous hype right now and that’s really all the Heisman is based on. The momentum will inevitably die down, but if he disrupts penn st in a top 5 matchup like he did today, he will have an invite and a chance.

Tua is injured and Hurts and Taylor are trending down today. Burrow certainly has his toughest tests today and ahead of him. Chase will be in the conversation for a few weeks now until those games when he can stack his case in primetime.

Wasn’t there something recently about Browning and how someone “gave up” on him? Feel like this removes any doubt we all had about who that was.

Defense was pretty good before Grinch, and looks really good after him so far. He’s the one common factor in what was the worst ohio state defense in a very very long time. Glad we shipped him off to a potential CFP opponent.
