This is a bummer. A feature runningback would have been the cherry on top of an awesome class. I'll circle back with you all on Friday. I wonder what BK heard to go cloudy and what is Birm heard that is cause for concern.

I chatted with the guy for a bit. He buys most of his things directly from the players. He said a good portion of the really old items he bought from relatives who inherited them.

Thank you. Kind of seems like he has a monopoly. A lot of those things you can't really find anywhere else.

I think we just wanted to be excited over whichever would end up in Scarlet and Gray. We didn't necessarily change our target but they changed on us. Milton is a lot more vocal than Robinson. We bought the hype that Milton could be a Buckeye after his visit at the end of May thinking he was the most likely. Then there was a time where we thought we might not get either one because Milton loved his Georgia visit and the insiders did not know which way Robinson was leaning. Once we heard that Bijan was our most likely 5 star back we quickly jumped aboard the Bijan train and haven't looked back.

We knew the visit with both went well but we did not know our status until they wrapped up their other visits. Milton liked Georgia better. Bijan visited Texas but remained high on Ohio State. We recruited each equally hard and either would have been a take. This is just the way the chips have fallen.

It seems like in the other recruiting classes we had no problem bringing in some killer D Ends. We even got Sawyer in next years class. This cycle definitely feels like an anomaly. I hope you're right that we enter the picture for some of the top dudes as the season plays out but I don't think it will be a major issue if we don't.

I'm not telling you what you should or shouldn't buy. I'm just telling you what he said. I placed the article in another comment.

Ricks said it himself in an interview. He spent time there visiting with his family and spent a good amount of time at LSU hanging out with their staff. In the same interview he said it would take something drastic for him to flip his commitment.

In this case Illinois hired his High School coach and two of his teammates are committed there. His coach was hoping he could bring Mookie with them to U of I.

In another interview Ricks said that he used to speak with Urban Meyer daily and was hurt when stepped down. He said that he would have committed to Ohio State if Urban was still there.

He also said he is firm in his commitment to LSU and would only consider going elsewhere if something drastic were to happen like a coaching change.

I would like to be optimistic that we can flip him but I am not going to hold my breath. He is tremendously talented and I would love to have him as a Buckeye.

Welcome, I love the opposing fan bases on here and the additional perspective. You'll probably come across our resident TTUN fans at some point.

I would agree. I thought we were heavily recruiting Rakim before he committed to LSU. I would gladly accept him into this class if he wanted to come to Ohio State. Super talented kid.

I agree that if he takes an official anything can happen but there seems to be something going on behind the scenes with how adamantly he said it wasnt going to happen. Might be more than meets the eye with the Ringo recruitment. Selfishly I hope Kyle is right and that we have a chance to get him but it looks like Birm has some solid info that puts a nail in it.
