Fields stability in the pocket has really stood out to me as well. That is an absolutely underrated asset that will come in handy in close games. Certainly an improvement on Haskins in that regard.

This is an unsubstantiated rumor with 0 proof but I saw on twitter someone tweeted at him saying that his suspension is what he deserved for shooting random people with a paintball gun. Again nothing to back it up besides a tweet from an apparent OSU student. It would seem kind of a random thing to make up and would also explain the lack of legal involvement but at the same time being serious enough to be disciplined heavily.

As always I love the write up. Cant say I feel great about this game for some reason even though most signs point towards have the edge on both sides of the field. I have full belief in Haskins but am extremely skeptical about our linebackers and safety opposite of Fuller. I think Haskins does allow us to take advantage of our talent significantly more than JT ever could which kept a lot of games closer than they needed to be.

One point of feedback- in future pregame write ups it would be great if you could include efficiency stats like yards per attempt for both run and pass on offense and defense. These stats are much more predictive of teams performance and how teams match up than simple total yards, and as as a result they are used by Vegas in score predictions. They are all easily found online.

Future Dr here. He likely had a laparoscopic (small camera guided) sports hernia surgery to fix a weakness in the wall of his abdomen (formally called Athletic Pubalgia). Timetable is likely 4-6 weeks as others have stated which would likely rule him out for Penn State. As a precautionary measure he will probably be restricted against the lesser opponents after Penn State even if he was ready to go before returning for the end of the season.

This video is a better recruiting tool than any facility, good weather, uniforms, etc (small factors that play a cumulative role in recruitment). Not that OSU doesnt have the best of everything I just listed besides weather. The rich get richer I guess, Im not complaining.

I have a friend who is an athlete at SCUM and knows a bunch of football players as a result.  According to him the players really hate Harbaugh, as you said he is a weird guy and not a players coach. Supposedly he schedules practices at horrible times and gives them no opportunities/ breaks to have fun. Obviously you need to sacrifice to succeed as a top football player but there 18-23 year olds want to be able to have some fun too and apparently he doesnt allow it. Pair that with their lack of recent success and you get this type of recruiting class.

Speaking as a recent graduate, I would say it comes down to the culture of the student body. We haven't been good since 2014 so an entire 4 classes have gone without experiencing the success. Football is obviously built into the schools DNA and dominates Fall semesters, Basketball is kind of an after thought. If we obtain constant success I would expect the attendance to increase as more students expect a good game and consider the game as an event that can be fun. It doesn't help the stadium is a little off campus, but with Uber and Lyft that really isnt a factor for college students today. Another huge factor is the price of tickets, anything more than $10-20 is asking a lot for kids that may be on the fence of going, pretty ridiculous if you ask me. I also agree it should be in St. John for proximity and environment.
