Living in Wisconsin, the hype is out of control here.  They have benefitted from having easier crossover games against the B1G East the last couple of years.  That changes this year as they travel to scUM and Happy Valley.  Also, road games at Iowa, Nerdwestern (they haven't escaped Evanston with a "W" in a long time), and Purdue.  Methinks their schedule finally catches up to them this year.  Their nonconference schedule is a joke though.

I have no idea what to even think at this point.  It's just a bad Lifetime movie with terrible acting and ridiculous plot twists that nobody could possibly follow.  At the end of the day, I can't possibly imagine what Urban would have to do with any of this if he properly reported the situation to the appropriate personnel in the university.  Let's end this and move on from the Smith family saga.

At the end of the day, regular season games and perception still have meaning.  I’m ok with the result.  A simple mathematical formula ultimately explains this season:

4CFP = (Don’t Lose to Iowa by 31)^∞

I love my Bucks and after taking off my scarlet colored glasses I'm at peace with the decision from the committee. The offense is too inconsistent to compete on the playoff stage at this point. I respect JT and all he has done for the program but he should not be making these types of decisions with the football as a 5th year senior.  The loss at Iowa along with poor performances against Clemson and Oklahoma still linger so I respect their decision. Hopefully a win in a NY6 bowl will ease the sting.

Awesome hire. Would love to see a relevant Nebraska program in the B1G. Living in Wisconsin it would also be nice to have a legitimate challenge to Bucky in the West. Nebraska has one of the most respectful and passionate fanbases in CFB and this is great news for the future of their program and the B1G.

It hurt me to root for ND but since I moved to Wisconsin 11 years ago I haven't experienced a more obnoxious irrational fan base (other than scUM) than the cheese weasels. Nice to see them get a dose of their own medicine.

I wholeheartedly agree with Ethos on this subject.  I very rarely submit a post but when I see something ridiculous regarding kicking a school out of a conference based upon football recruiting rankings, it irritates me.  In the end, these are supposed to be institutions of higher learning.  I love my Bucks as much as the next person, but let's not forget the main objective of higher education.  In that regard, Purdue is still a significant contributor to the conference (and ranked substantially higher than OSU much to my dismay).  http://www.bestcollegereviews.org/top-research-universities/

First Wisconsin transplant to check in.  Great idea.

One of the best sci-fi films to come out in the last few years.  Agreed.  Visually stunning and kept me interested the entire film with the exploration into artificial intelligence.  Excellent flick.  I can't remember the actor's name (Inside Llewelyn Davis from the Coen Brothers), but he was outstanding in this role.

I couldn't agree more with this article.  Excellent job!  I'll admit that I was on the B1G bandwagon growing up and living in Columbus as I was isolated from other fanbases in the midwest.  However, once I became a buckeye transplant living in Wisconsin, I saw the "other side" of the B1G.  They utterly detest OSU and take great pleasure when the Bucks lose in anything.  I will never pull for any B1G team other than OSU.

Completely agree.  Would love to see a Louisville - UK final with the Cards taking them down.  Karma.

Comment 28 Mar 2015

I hate to say it but I'm pulling hard for UK to take down the cheese weasels.  As a buckeye transplant living in Wisconsin since 2005 after relocating from Cbus, I never realized the absolutely insufferable badger fanbase that exists here.  I miss the insulation of living in Columbus as I cannot tolerate these blowhards here.  It's sad because I never gave them a second thought while living in Ohio.

Living in SE Wisconsin with a multitude of delusional cheese weasel grads, this game was one I have been waiting for since I moved here from Columbus in '05.  When running weekend errands in my buckeye gear, I see a lot of head shaking and "...ugh...Ohio State...." everywhere I go.  What a magnificent time to be a Buckeye.

Try living in the heart of this delusional fan base.  Nothing I haven't already heard this week.  The Buckeyes are an afterthought to this group.  They've already penciled themselves in for the B1G title.

The delusional Wisky fans here in SE Wisconsin seem to think they're ticket has been punched to the playoff after they beat LSU.  I was told that losing Miller was the equivalent of them losing Melvin Gordon for the season.  I had to remind them that this is still Ohio State.  They have a lot of depth at each position and it's not like they still can't win the B1G title with the talent they have stockpiled.  Should be an interesting season.

Agreed.  I think there's little doubt regarding the best conference in College Basketball with the coaching talent involved (Matta, Izzo, Ryan, Beilein, Crean, Smith, etc.)

Thank you for this article!  This is a true masterpiece.  Since moving to Wisconsin from C-bus eight years ago for work, it has been difficult to stomach the ascension of Bert and his boys over the last few years as I work with a lot of badgers.  This is the best summary I have seen that showcases the circumstances that were necessary for this to happen.  Hopefully Urban & Co. can provide a silencing blow this fall and relegate these vermin to their rightful place in the B1G.
